It's is Thursday morning and we are having a terrible storm, never have I seen rain like this. There are people stuck in cars, auto accidents and of course Brian is out in the rain trying to help people again. Next Thursday he is going for a cat scan, I need prayers that all the cancerious tumors have shrunk in size before his surgeries.
Please help me in praying for a miracle.

Brian goes for his cat scan tomorrow to see if the cancerious tumors have shrunk. His tumor markers have gone down but not where they should be. Please help us pray for that miraculous miracle.
Lord please hear our prayers.

Scans came back and there are 12 turmors on his lung that are slightly reduced in size, the one around his kidney is a little smaller. He has 5 tumors on his liver which 3 of them got smaller and there are still 2 that are very large in size. They are not sure if there is going to be surgery. We were sure that everything was going to be taken out. The tumor markers still are not as low as they wanted. They may do another round of Chemo. We really need a miracle. Lord please hear my prayers. I need him to stay here on earth with me.

Brian has to have a ct scan and pet scan on Friday Aug. 10th. This test will be able to tell us if he will be able to have the tumors removed or live with this large amount of tumors within his body. Anyone who reads this please help me pray for a MIRACLE. Lord please hear my prayers.

Brian had an appointment today and the liver surgeon and said that Brian is young, and in good health other than the cancer that they are going to do surgery. They are going to remove 50% of his liver, take his testicle along with removing one of his kidney's and many lymph nodes. We are in much need for prayers for a MIRACLES.
The doctors are planning to do this with in the next 3 weeks as long as the tumors markers stay down. Thank you all for all your strong prayers.

Tomorrow Brian is having a liver biopsy, this will tell how much if any cancer cells are still alive. If it showes any cancer they will have to do more Chemo before surgery. Please help me pray for a MIRACLE.

The Biopsy report shows that there is no active CANCERIOUS tumors in the liver due to all the Chemo. Doctors are still going to take 50% of his liver to remove the dead tumors. They still have to take the kidney, testicle and all lymph nodes that look suspicious. That is operation 1 the second surgery will be taking all the tumors in the lungs that have shrunk some what. Thank you for all your prayers, This has pulled me threw this difficult time. We still need a MIRICLE. I know with the help of all of you their will be. Thank You Again

Brian had a urology appointment today and among all his surgeons they decided that all the surgeries done at the same time was much to risky. They are going to take the 50% of his liver out then let him recuperate 6 to 8 weeks then do the kidney, lymph nodes, testicle. The tumor markers haven't gone down to what they should have, today's blood results showed that the markers have gone up slightly. The surgeon said that he still has active cancer but they are not sure were it is. . They are not sure if the active cancer may be in the lungs.They are going to do more Chemo after the first surgery. I am destroyed with this news. I am trying to keep strong for him but its getting harder and harder for me. I can't stop crying. He lives with me until his wedding next Nov. I think that I need some sort of support group. Only a mom knows what I am going through. All your prayers and support is still needed, please continue with all your prayers for a MIRACLE for my son Brian.

Brian had another appointment with the Liver surgeon today. He seems to be in good condition so they decided to do one of the surgeries next Wednesday. I asked if it was possible to make it after Oct 13th, he is in his best friends wedding, and since the doctors have been waiting for the tumors markers to go to zero which hasn't happened yet, if it could be postponed While he was at the surgeons office they sent him for a new ct scan. They called my future daughter-in-law and told her that the tumors in there liver and the abdominal area have shrunk a little and the markers went down to 3.3. We are still waiting to see if it is ok with the other surgeons. He has been off of Chemo for 2 months now and his markers are not as low as they wanted but they haven't gone up.
I am still asking for prayers for a miracle for Brian. I am also asking for prayers Dawn, his fiances, she is going though so much, side by side with him. This is real true love. She is one of a kind, they both deserve to get married and have many years of happiness together. I just love both of them.

Brian has had all his pre opt testing and the surgery is still on for first thing in the morning on Oct 17. Doctors informed us that along with 50% of the liver they are also taking his gall bladder with this surgery. Doctors are telling me that it could be up to a 5 hour surgery. Please during the morning of that day am begging for extra prayers for a miracle. I need him healthy with a full recovery so he can plan a wedding.

thank you all for your prayers! and thoughts! through this hard time! It really helped me through Brian's 1st surgery. The surgery went better than expected. After Brian's surgery, we met with Dr. Jarnigan, and he was explaining the surgery. They removed 30% of the liver instead of the 50% as planned, reason why they didnt take as much as they were going to, was because when they pulled out the tumors (4 of them) they send them off to pathology for preliminary testing, and those tests showed that the tumors were necrotic, ALL DEAD TISSUE. He is in a great deal of pain. Days after the surgery he was contacted from the New York Assembly telling him that he won a award for FIREMAN OF THE YEAR. Doctors released him from the hospital today to get this award with plenty of pain meds.
This award is an honor to receive, it has picked up his spirts very much. He is a great firefighter and really deserves this award.
The next surgery is in within 4 to 6 weeks, Again I will be asking for more prayers along with a miracle. Thank you all again for your prayers for Brian's healing. Sorry I haven't let everyone know how the surgery went but I lived in the City for the week,

Brian's appointment went good on Tuesday. His tumor markers went do to zero. Liver FREE of cancer! necrotic and small focus of teratoma. He had a surgeons appointment today and he is scheduled for surgery on Dec 7, 2007 for RPLND. That's the removal of 1 kidney 1 testicle, and the lymph nodes. He is totally on a fat free diet before surgery and 2 weeks after the surgery. The doctor said that if there is an opening he may do the surgery earlier than the 7th. I am praying for a miracle, and I am asking for your prayers along with mine. Thank You

Brian's has many appointments tomorrow Nov 13th, his has to have 1 brain MRI, 1 ultrasound for check for blood clots and another ultrasound down below. He had a Ct Scan on Nov 6th we haven't heard any results yet, We are praying all test are perfect, clear of all cancer..

Brian is going to the doctors today and I need good news. Many prayer needed for todays visit.

Thank you so very much for all your prayers for Brian. This surgery is a very big one and I am very scared. I will be leaving to stay at a hotel and won't be able to send any updates. It's is very hard to get on the Internet. Again thank you and please continue to pray for my son on Friday morning.
Brian is unbelievable he has such a positive that he is going to be fine, that is one reason that doctors are going to perform the surgery.
What a privilege it is to share our concerns with each other, and most importantly, to be able to share our concerns with the Lord.

Brian's surgery is at 7:30 am est and please remember to say a prayer for him for a miracle. He is being a trooper threw this whole thing. As a mom, my heart is broken.

Brian's surgery went well with some small set backs. The best news is that the doctor saved his kidney. He is still in the hospital and may be released early next week. I will have more details with final results when I return home.

Dr Sheinfeld is truly amazing!!!! it went better then they thought...they were able to save the kidney!!!! I'm so happy about that!!! they removed all the nodes and said the they looked to be all cancer free!! the tumor came out, but he said he is usually 80% correct when he says they are dead. Dr. Sheinfeld said he was able to save the nerves!!!! . He had all the lymph nodes removed, and didn't give an exact count, but he said they look to all be cancer free. the tumor that was removed was the size of a grapefruit and he said it was a really difficult surgery. he said the tumor really had a hold of the arteries and it was a long surgery! 7 hours... but well worth it when we heard the results... Dr. Bosl came in Friday... and said they weren't finished with the final report yet, but he checked up on it and they said they are 95% sure there is no cancer in what they removed..
I got a call from the doctor and BRIAN'S PATHOLOGY report CAME BACK LAST NIGHT.....
there is NO active CANCER!!!!!!!!!!
We returned home today and he is having a leakage problem where the insertion is and a visiting nurse will be coming daily to check the cut.
I want to thank all of you for also your strong prayers that you said for Brian, He has a long way to go but the power of prayers have helped him a great deal.

I am sorry that I didn't get to post prayers for others, I will be able to do it in a day or so. Most of my time has be devoted to Brian's needs. My husband and I having been in there hospital room for 16 hours a day. I am trying to catch up on a little rest.

The doctors office called this afternoon and told us that Brian will be having other surgeries down the road. The tumors in the Lungs will have to be removed, this is a very dissapointment because we that everything was going in the right direction. Jan 3rd he has to have ct scans as a base line before other surgeries. We still need another miracle God has been with us these other two surgeries, and we still need more prayers, and miracles for his full recovery.

Brian's is in such a depression, he has had such a good attitude these last 7 1/2 months. but now it is tearing all of us apart. He has this terrible pain in his leg and we think it may be a blood clot and he won't go to the hospital to have it checked out. The visiting nurse comes everyday to clean out there infection he has in his belly. Brian has always has a great attitude on his cancer and now all he does is cry, he won't talk to anyone or eat, all he does is go on the computer and read about his next surgeries. He does tell us that he will have to live this way, he doesn't want the surgery. Dear Lord please help Brian threw this depression for him to make the right decision. Again I want to thank everyone that has been saying prayers for my son. I am sorry that I am not online praying and lighting candles for everyone but I am praying when I am not online. Every one is in my prayers.

Brian is going for a Ct scan early this afternoon and I am praying for good results. Tomorrow is the day he has to go see the surgeon that did the surgery and also the oncologist to talk about the other surgeries. Prayers are needed. He isn't sure that he wants these other surgeries. He still is so very depressed. Lord help him make the right choices.

Tomorrow Brian has an appointment with his Lung surgeon, The surgeon will be explaining how the surgery is going to be performed, he still isn't sure if he is going thought with the surgery. He is still very depressed and I hope this doctor will convince him that this surgery is a must. Along with Brian's cancer I just found out that my sister in law has breast cancer and she is having her surgery next Wednesday. Again I am asking for Prayers

Brian's had an appointment on Thursday and the wound is healing very well. He is still very depressed knowing the next surgery is coming up. Again all prayers needed for surgery and the miracle of removing all cancer from his body. My sister in law's surgery went well, they removed 2 cancerous tumors, along with "Chemo and radiation doctors are very positive for a complete recovery, 3 days after her surgery her daughter 30 years old found 2 lumps in her breast, we are all praying for her.
I am having problems with this prayer sight and it is very hard for me to stay online and light candles.

Brian is going for pre opt testing tomorrow, I wish I could get him out of this depression. My sister in law starts Chemo next week, she is very strong minded and she is doing great, her daughter's lumps are benign. Thank you Lord. We now have to pray for the Miracle for Brian in the 11th. Tomorrow at 9 AM is Brian's surgery. PLEASE ,I ask that you pray strongly with everything you have, so that Brian is completely healed and surgery goes well. I want to thank everyone that has shown me that they care for my son and his future. I will be staying in the city while Brian is having surgery. I won't have access to a computer. Brian was in surgery for around 2 1/2 hours... everything went GREAT!
The surgeon was so happy with the results! they 1st did a bronchioscopy, to make sure there was no cancer. that result was good... then they were able to remove the tumors through a bilateral vats wedge resection. they removed 13 tumors all together that's more than we thought.. but they are all gone!!!! Dr. Flores said he was so happy and that the chemo really did the job.. the 2 largest tumors that were tested preliminarily results shows that they were all dead.
Brian came home late yesterday. He is having a great deal of pain with shortness of breath. Doctors state that is normal for a while it will get better. With the help of the Lord and all your prayers this has pulled him threw. This will always be my baby and I couldn't handle any more bad news.
Again i thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for me and my son Brian.

The surgeon called today to tell us that all 13 turmors removed we all DEAD CANCER. it is now in black and white. He is still having breathing problems along with a dry cough, but the surgeon said that should go away in a few months. Thank you for all your prayers for my son again, The Lord granted my son this miracle, 10 months ago he was in

stage 3C and now his blood work is normal. My the Lord keep him Cancer free for ever. I will never leave this web sight all of you are the best.

Brian is very depressed again. One of his wounds has opened again and it is draining. This wound has to be packed with special gauges a couple times a day. It really isn't a very good sight. The coughing has subsided slightly so he is breathing somewhat better.

Brian went for a routine ct scan this morning and we are praying for all ct scans to continute to be clear. He is still very depressed due to this wound that hasn't closed yet. He will not be able to return back to work until it is completely closed. He is under a great deal of stress now that he is planning his wedding. We are praying for a happy marriage.

Brian is going to the oncologist tomorrow. We know he has greatest news ever since the surgery. He should be happy but nothing seems to make him happy any more. While we are at the office I am going to mention that all his is eating is junk food and ask what kind of vitamins he should be taking. This junk food along with the depression is not good for his healing. His wound is still open and the proper foods would help. "The cut still looks very bad. Please help him again with a few prayers for healing.

Sorry I haven't been able to post anything on this sight. It takes me forever to get on and then it locks up, I then get thrown off. It takes me hours to get back on, I have written the sight and they said they were working in this problem. I feel real bad on not being able to light candles.
Brian is wound is healing and is planning to return to work on May 5. He has a doctors appointment next week to check his tumor markers. he is in remission. His eating habits are not what they should be. He is still very depressed which concerns me because he is planning his wedding and this should be a happy time in his life. I hope that this is just stress. I Pray everyday that he has a long happy marriage. Last week it has been 1 year since he was diagnosed. The Lord heard my prayers along with all the prayers from my brother and sisters on this web sight.

Brian has returned to work last week. As for his depression I really don't know what has happened to him. He has such a bad attitude this has got me worried. He use to be a fun loving son and now he is a different man. I don't understand him anymore. 1 year ago I cried every day for his health and now that he is remission which should be happy, I cry because he is such a mean person towards my husband and myself. He did even have Mothers day with me, he said we could have it the following day which hurt me. Maybe the upcoming wedding is very stressful. I need prayers to make him come back to who he use to be.

We are praying for good results again on June 5. Brian's has very bad numbness in his hands and feet all the time. We know that this could happen as a side effect but it getting worse as time goes by. He will be gettng married in 158 days how exciting. I am still praying for his happiness and good health.
I am still having problems getting on this sight.

All Brian's scans and blood work came back clear, he has to be checked 2 weeks before the wedding. He moved into his apartment this past Saturday and is very happy. After all the moving he now has a very bad cold we are afraid, do to his lung problems the fear of phenomena.

Brian's blood test came back today and they are NORMAL, thank you all for your prayers. We are all excited that the wedding is 3 weeks from today and that he is feeling great. With all that he has gone though we thank the Lord that he has come this far. We pray for his happiness and good health, he still isn't the happy man that he was been before this cancer has struck him. I will post a few pictures after the wedding.

Brian and Dawn are extremely happy. The wedding was lovely except for the heavy down pours. Everyone continues to tell us that it is good luck when it rains. They really don't need good luck they have each other and the Lord on there side. This wedding had many of tears of happiness knowing what Brian has gone though. Brian has a routine check up on Dec 18 and full scans in March of next year. I want to thank all of you for all the prayers and that a miracle was performed.

Brian had appointments on April 9 and the scans came back clear, thank the Lord. He now goes for routine checkups every 3 months.

Brian's tests came back showing no CANCER, his lungs X-rays look fine also. He has new ct scans scheduled in Nov. We will always pray for his remission, cancer free. Brian is not the happy go lucky man that he use to be, he is always down and never smiles anymore.
