I am dealing with depression, (for years now) and the loss of some I really love due to a break-up.Thoughts of suicide fill my mind each day. I struggle to believe what I proclaim to others about the Healing of the Lord, and who I am in Him. I have two sons and I need to be a good father for them but find it difficult to do under the circumstances. I am also dealing with an illness that I do believe God can heal. I am living with friends now because of the break-up and feel sham before my sons because I can’t get my own place right now.
Thank you for your prayers!
Things are about the same. My broken relation was healed…so I thought. We tried to work things out but I find myself right back in the same place I was a year ago. I have to move out AGAIN and start over again. I feel like I never should have answered the phone when they called and wanted to see me again. I have grown be they have not. So I’m hurting again, and trying to understand where God is in all of this. My depression in still a struggle for me even though it got better for a while. But now that I’m here again, I’m battling with depression still.
Thanks
~~~EAGLES IN THE STORM~~~~~
Did you know that an eagle knows when a
storm is approaching long before it breaks?
The eagle will fly to some high spot
and wait for the winds to come.
When the storm hits,it sets its wings
so that the wind will pick it up
and lift it above the storm.
While the storm rages below,
the eagle is soaring above it.
The eagle does not escape the storm.
It simply uses the storm to lift it higher.
It rises on the winds that bring the storm.
When the storms of life come upon us -
and all of us will experience them -
we can rise above them
by setting our minds
and our belief toward God.
The storms do not have to overcome us.
We can allow God's power
to lift us above them.
God enables us to ride
the winds of the storm
that bring sickness, tragedy, failure
and disappointment in our lives.
We can soar above the storm.
Remember, it is not the burdens
of life that weigh us down,
it is how we handle them.
The Bible says,
"Those who hope in the
Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles."
Isaiah 40:31
i can relate to you on some of the things you are saying, but you have to be strong in your self now for you and your sons. i will pray that God will give you hope and make a move in your life that will give you hope and always remember that if God brings you to it he will bring you through it.
Lord, we just ask your blessing on Zomba right now. Cause him to feel your love flowing into his life through others and through your spirit knocking on his heart. Comfort him in his discouragement, and let him know, no problem is too big for you. Although he feels he should have been able to control his life, let him know that YOU are in control and YOU are not going to leave him in these times - you will carry him through all the way to victory. Keep his spirit from considering anything drastic and teach him to lean on you - bring supportive people into his life that will make him question how he could ever have considered giving up - let it be to him as a dream that makes no sense on awakening, because he has seen the wonders that you can do. Help him to be a good father and bless his time with his children. Meet his needs at every turn so that he can testify to your mercy and love. In your son's name we pray.
Remember God will not put more on us than we can handle. I just lost my sister to suicide last month and I beg of you not to even consider this!!! You don't know that there are more people than you can count that love you. Seek them out. Seek the Lord in Prayer. Thank God for all your blessings and keep thanking him. Don't give up!! Ask and you will receive. We may not know when, but your prayers will be answered. This is a tough world but nothing our Lord cannot help us through. Please I beg you to be strong and pray and pray..........Have faith when there is dispair...............
I feel your pain hang in there I know is easy to say that but in time bad thing past and good come in time deal with the depression it will past I wll pray with you I 'm rigth there with you all the way sisde by side it not so drak as you think it may be the is light beleive that god it there and yourself you will see the light coming to you I' standing next to you right now close you eye and feel my hand it warm to touch. call for him he can hear you and see you.
Please keep fighting--especially when you don't feel like it--and remember that you always have God on your side. You may feel broken, but God's power is made perfect in your weakness (2Cor 12:19). You are not alone. It may be hard to see God at work in your situation, so take a look at your sons because they are His miracles and your blessings. Try to love and enjoy them and focus on the good things you have while you wait on God. Until then, you have the power of prayer and all of us here praying with and for you. God bless and keep you.
Heavenly Father, please touch your child Zomba and build him up where he is weak and broken. Please, heal him physically, psychologically and emotionally and replace his hurt, depression and shame with love, joy and peace. Please fill him with a love of life and make him happy to wake up in the morning. Lord, please help him to be a good father in every sense of the word and help him to share his love of you with his sons. Father, please bless this man with abundance. Please strengthen his faith and remind him of his place in your kingdom. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
Dear God,
Thank you for this dear, kind hearted son of yours.
Please grant him peace and assurance that You are his shield and comfort. Please heal him now Lord by Your Spirit.
Isaiah 35
say to those who are of a fearful and hasty heart, Be strong, fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance; with the recompense of God He will come and save you.
Show this to Zomba in his life so that he and others may glorify You.
In Jesus Name, Amen
