My brother needs help and so do I and my family Prayer Answered
My brother has a problem with alcohol that has really had him hit rock bottom. Of course, he doesn't believe he has a problem so it is very difficult to help him. I have had to kick him out of my home for not following my rules and I am very worried about him making it on his own. However, I can not allow him to drink in my house and provide him food and shelter. Please pray for him to realize that he needs help and for me to have the strength to Let go and Let God. This is so much more difficult than I could ever have imagined.
Update - about 1 year ago:
This picture is of my brother two and a half years ago when he had to have brain surgery because he hit his head on concrete after he'd been drinking. I'm very worried that if he allows himself to drink there will be another time similar to this and he will not survive. Dear Lord Please watch over him and guide him to fight the demons that hold onto him.

Jeff left here early Monday morning without even saying goodbye. After a tense 24 hours for our family I have learned that he went back to our hometown where my oldest brother Jim lives with his family, he is the one with the bone growth thing going on. They have been at odds for quite some time but I think that they can hopefully heal their relationship and learn to take care of each other. I pray that tremendous healing will happen through God for both of them.

Our bible teach us that there's time for everything and now God will use this opportunity to change his entire life around. Dont drag him out of his home since it'll not solve the problem but engage him in a prayer meeting and allow him to acknowledge his problem. Father, lay your hand on this man and remove the spirit of drunkness from his blood stream. I command the spirt in him to disappear by fire because you (our God) answereth by fire. I return every satanic pronouncement of drunkness back to senders in Jesus name Amen.

Thank you so much for your response. I did not drag him out of his home. He was living in my home based on rules that I had established with him when I took him in over 8 months ago. He had no job and nothing going for him. He finally got a job here just 6 weeks ago and I thought he was going to heal and get back on his feet again. Instead he turned back to alcohol and not only that but broke my solid rule of not bringing it into my house. He knew that was his choice therefore, he put himself out of my care. I had to turn him over to God and it is/was so much more difficult than I thought it would be. It is easy for me to ask God for help, but very difficult to actually let go of the issue/problem and allow Him to fix it in His way.

Lord let the light shine inand have mercy upon this brother Lord let the Holy angels, guide and protect him from unconsciousness when drunk Lord make the angels guide him to safety, when he his intoxicated Lord let the light of the living God our Lord Jesus shine so brightly upon Hime that no darkness can enter in to his mind body and soul this I pray in Jesus Name let the spirit of the holy ghost enter in and the demons be scatterd into the midst of the sea into the depth of it in Jesus Name.

Thank you so much. The Lord heard your prayer and helped to guide my brother to our eldest brother that he has been estranged from. I pray that he will be able to get to through to Jeff in a way that I could not.

Father thank you for the love of a sister for her brother so I know you will honor and hear her prayers and see the tears that she has cried for him. I tell the spirit of alcohol to leave him alone in Jesus name...that an earthen vessel be sent his way to see he is loved and doesn't need the drinks anymore. Encamp your angels around him and have your way with him, I ask for an impartation of the holy spirit fill him and renew a right spirit in his heart, to draw near to you...in Jesus name amen.

I will be praying for you and your brother. Its never easy when you see someone you love hurting themselves but please remember that God can do anything. I pray that God will open your brothers eyes to what he is doing. I had a similar problem with a loved one and with Gods help we are taking it one day at a time. Just remember to place your brother at Gods feet and let the Lord do the rest!
