Dear Drum: I pray that God brings back this girl to you if she's the one you're meant to be with. When I was younger I used to pray that relationships wouldn't fall apart, and as I got older I realized that all of those relationships would have led me away from God.

I'm not saying to give up. Be in friendly terms with your girl and maybe something will happen one day. Just let God lead you. I admire you for appreciating prayer and following God at such an early age when one is tempted to just leave it all behind and enjoy the false gods of pop culture. I'm a Catholic, too, but I left the church for a long time before I came back in 2000. I'm so glad I'm back. I have such peace in my heart!
