I don't know if I have given everyone enough information to get a clear picture of Olivia. Her mother, Jennifer, is a cousin on my husband's side. Olivia has been in the hospital since March 1st because of her 2 forms of lukemia. Her father is not involved with the family, and when he has shown up at the hospital, he causes problems. He's considering signing over his rights, if he hasn't done so already. Jennifer's boyfriend recently broke up with her because he "couldn't handle it anymore." He wanted Jennifer to spend more time with him, despite the fact that Olivia has never left the hospital since March 1st. Olivia is currently at Cook's Childrens Hospital. My husband found out tonight that Olivia's kidneys are also failing. She has swelled to almost four times her size because of the liver and kidney failure. The doctors have decided to use an experimental drug to help her, and it's not FDA approved. The problem is they won't be able to get it until Monday, and they don't know if she'll live until then. We would all greatly appreciate your prayers. Olivia's grandmother has had to take medication due to the stress of Olivia's condition. The family is in desperate need of prayers! Thank you to all the wonderful people that have prayed for Olivia and her family! We found out today that the doctors were able to get the experimental medicine for her sooner than they thought. She's been taking it since Friday or Saturday. It will take at least a week before they know if it will work. We are waiting on an update from her mom, and I'll let you know as soon as I hear something.

Thank you again to everyone that has prayed for Olivia. At this time, her condition is still very grave, according to the doctors. She is in a medically induced coma, and on a respirator. The doctors are afraid she won't make it if she exerts any extra energy, which if why she's in the coma. She's now on dialysis. I know that your prayers and God have helped her make it this far. We'll all be praying she shows improvement. Thank you all again for your love and support for her and her family.

We found out last night that the doctors want to have a meeting with Olivia's family today. Please pray that they have good news, and that Olivia has shown improvement. God bless you all for your prayers!

We found out tonight that Olivia is still in critical condition, but she has shown a small improvement. They think the experimental medicine is working. The biggest problem she faces continues to be organ failure. We're not sure if the cancer is completely gone. I know in my heart that your prayers and God have helped her this far, and thank you so much for that! You are all wonderful people!

I am sorry I haven't given an update lately. We have only been able to get news about once a week. We found out yesterday that her liver is doing better. It seems to be "regenerating." Her kidneys, however, are still having problems. She can only take this experimental drug for so long, so they are going to take her off of it soon. We're hoping her organs will not fail again when she goes off the medicine. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

My husband was told today that Olivia is suffering bleeding on her brain, and her family has been contacted and told to gather. The doctors have said that they expect her brain to show no activity within the next couple of days. She may be close to the end of her long battle. Please pray that God stay with her and her family during these next few days. Thank you all so much for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers.
