Dear Love: You have taken a very important step in stating that you want God in your life. Keep right on praying and trusting in him and watch him start to work.

I have been through some abuse and drinking too much, and God stepped in and rescued me. I pray he does the same with you. My advice is to ask God, through Jesus Christ, to enter into your house and become the true head of the family. Ask him every day to show you the way, no matter how badly things are going. Asking will only take ten or fifteen seconds. Things may not happen magically, but they could happen, and quickly, miraculously.

Also, it might be good to go to a church service. I found that very helpful. Being Catholic, I go to Mass. If you have no religion and would like to become a Catholic, preparation classes around the country start in September. You can inquire. This is only a suggestion, and the only one I'm familiar with.

God, you know what this family needs! The strength of your word and your involvement! Cast out the demons in this family and enter your angels of protection, mercy, and love!!! Watch over them God.
