You dont want to forget Kevin you want the pain of not having him around to go away. A friend of mine died in a motorcycle accident and it didnt hurt any less because he was not murdered. That was one of the worst times in my life because it hurt so bad I had never experienced grief like that in my life, I said the same thing - I wanted to forget him. Now it's been two years and the pain is practically gone, if you allow God and time to heal your broken heart you will be amazed. Now what I have is wonderful memories. I never want to forget Dave. The best part is the memories of him and his kindness, his smile, his big heart. Those are the things i treasure about having been privileged to have him as my friend. Soon you will see it will hurt less and less and you'll be happy that the memories of him are still there to keep him alive in your heart. Never forget him no matter what it seems others are doing.
