I just wanted you to know you have been on my mind lately. The holidays will be difficult without my mom. It's like nothing I've ever felt before - sort of a big void.
I wish you the happiest of holidays - hope your Thanksgiving goes great. I wanted you to know that one of the things I will tell God I am thankful for is people like you!!!

Prayer to Saint Peregrine

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called "The Mighty," "The Wonder-Worker," because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you.

For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.
(Pause here and silently recall the names of the sick for whom you are praying)
Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.

Hi Jamie
I'm doing ok. I've really been too busy to realize mom is gone, and it hits me at the most unexpected times. Working when I want, back to starting book fair at Mackenzie's middle school, helping her with Science and History Fair, paying bills, etc. Life goes on. I'm relieved, in a way, that it is all over, as the stress with my sister was almost the toughest part. Mom's service was simple and beautiful, as she wanted, and I loved my son being home from Californis. I'm relying on "my" family now (son Michael, daughter Mackenzie) and especially my husband. With both my parents gone now, I am experiencing a new level of dependency, which is a good thing. Especially since I was mad at my husband most of the summer!!! Now I need him, and he is wonderful. I am going through all the motions and know God and time will help (as does the support of friends like you!!). I am thinking of you and your mom often. You are in my prayers.

praise the lord that things are going so well for your mother! yes, we do feel each others pain - my mother recently had a left breast mastectomy. mom did not have to undergo chemo or radiation as they caught it early and she went for the mastectomy instead.

i continue to pray for your mother, you and your family and everyone here battling cancer, diseases and other illnesses and injuries.

my heart goes out to you dear sister! we had a couple of scares with cancer in my family. dad had prostate ca. and mom had "precancerous" breast tissue which they did a mastectomy for.

i am concerned about my health and wonder about the 'big C' - with all the pain i have been experiencing for over 6 mos.

i am praying for you and your dear mother, and family! lord god - please continue to uplift these dear souls and bless them abundantly and ALL who are struggling with cancer here and elsewhere. we cry out to you for healing, strength and all physical and mental needs with these illnesses, diseases and more.
