Fraud and Stealing

I request today of you people out there on your opinion if we did the right thing. My son was working for a non-profit company for 3 years and got to know these employees and employers very well. He had three weeks to go on his contract with them to get a college scholarship thru them...they fired him. He had never been written up for any infractions before and they stated that they had to let him go.(He will not receive the scholarship from them now.) He knew of some wrong things they were doing. They were receiving government grants and were not fulfilling the obligations required in the grant. I went and reported them to the government agency.I did not hear anything after reporting the violations and I thought "vengence is mine saith the Lord." and let it go. We got a call that they checked the premises and found that they had not even started the requirements of the grant that they were receiving funding for.The funding was stopped and these people will probably lose other funding, thus their jobs. Did we do the right thing or should we have left it all in God's hands and timing? I am feeling bad and my son is feeling bad because he knows them well. I want to do what is right in God's eyes but what do you think? I think I did this because it was the right thing to do but I also know in my heart I did because they let my son down. I asked God for forgiveness of my feelings and am now questioning my decision. Please let me know your thoughts. It is important to hear other opinions on this. Thanks in advance.

Update - 8 months ago:

Just wanted you to know that in their arrogance they kept telling the government agency that it was my son's fault for most of the things done wrong, so I guess,so much for humility on their part. Because of them losing their funding, other employees have lost their jobs and they have told those employees that it was my son's fault. Apparently, the government agency was not happy to hear that and I do not know but they want it in writing as to who told them that...I guess attorneys are going to get involved. What a shame. I will still keep praying for them for maybe if they hit bottom, they will look up towards to the Lord. This will take time, but I am curious as to how this will play out.

Update - 7 months ago:

Yesterday, I felt really bad for these people, for they are sinners like us. I cried in my heart for them...but they need to be held accountable. I was once told that if my kids do something wrong, to pray that they get caught. So that can learn from their mistakes. I pray these adults have learned from theirs.

It is not ours to say you did right or wrong, for God see's all and he is the vindicator, and he will correct or straighten them out in his time, my only suggestion would be to take it to the prayer closet and seek God's answer.....for we are not the judge, ask for peace in your heart over this matter...and I pray God will grant you peace of mind and clarity.....Amen

barbara1234 - 8 months ago: I do need the peace of mind in this situation, so I am so glad you responded to my request. I am praying also for the people that are the ones doing the fraud and stealing that maybe that by this happening to them, they will see the error of their ways and seek God through all this. Thank yo so much for your prayer on mine and my son's behalf. God bless you and your family.

In my humble opinion you did correctly, went to the authorities and provided information for then to verify and for them to correct. What would have happened if in the near future under a government investigation this organization could blame your son or another innocent for their wrongdoing? Do not feel bad, you acted with responsibility toward society and toward God. Keeping quiet you would be a accomplice by omission regarding His Law that in my humble opinion is more important than man’s law.
Lord please let the Holly Spirit give inner peace to Barbara, we pray in the name of Jesus, Amen

barbara1234 - 8 months ago: Tears come to my eyes, as I feel bad for these people and I am praying for these people who have done wrong. But you are right, if he would have stayed, he would have been right in there with them. So many thanks for your encouragement, I really needed to hear it and I thank you for the prayer of inner peace.God bless you and your family.

I pray for you and your family to be encouraged that the Holy Spirit is providing you with the wisdom to continue to do the right thing. Although, you feel you've done the wrong thing by reporting these people because they let your son down, keep in mind that they were doning the wrong thing and if your son were to receive scholarship money, it would have in fact been blood money. I'm sure you wouldn't want that for your son? The Lord is forgiving. Feel blessed he forgives and feel blessed that that when your son learned this lesson that it is better to do without than receive from a place that is not of God. God bless you and your son for your courage. In Jesus name I pray for you. Amen and Amen. Godspeed

barbara1234 - 8 months ago: Oh a Mother's love, how you would probably know how you want to protect your babies from harm. Thank you so much for your heartfelt prayer and bless you for taking the time to pray for me and I will be still and wait to see how this will all play out and I will pray for the ones that are doing the fraud and stealing. I pray that through this that they will somehow come to see God through this. God bless you and your family.
