I believe a Christian Family counseler would be the best thing to get some personal help for your boyfriend and I know this is not an easy subject to deal with...and especially when it comes to suicide too...and this is very serious. The best thing to do is think of what is causing the father to be in a mean spirit ...did he have a bitter life as a child or is being pressures be cause of the financial difficulties or is he embarassed. Both you and your boyfriend can talk to someone at the church ...and go for job career center and look in the help wanted ads to work for someone who is in need of help...like cutting grass for the elderly, shopping or you can both open up a catering business to help feed the neighbor etc. Check with the minister,paster or an elderly to help you with your situation. At the same token...let your boyfriend's father have some time to think things through with his life...you may want to send him a heartfelt card or a sympathy card stating how you feel and that you are praying for the family members as well. Let the Lord open up their hearts, mind and spirit to save their relationship. And may God Bless you and your boyfriend with many Blessings. When things cool down a bit have your boyfriend take his dad out fishing or bowling or what ever to have fun together....Just have them all say "I love You" maybe this is what's missing in their lives! Love is the Best medicine. Amen

I believe in being suicidal as something that is not your fault and that you could be as negative as she is describing without realizing you are wrong about it. I myself was suicidal Lord, and I know my God that things can get much better if not perfect when we make use of medicine and therapy as well as faith. I know Lord you can restore this guy's health and I pray that you put the right professionals and significant others to help him. Ultimately, Lord, what helped me was to know that I needed to fight regardless of whether I saw hope or not because your Word says I should live until you call me to your house.
