I am surely clinging to this promise from God right now. This "virus" or whatever is so vicious whatever e-mail I open with my Yahoo! people, it just closes it up again! This is all "rocket science" to me! Praise God, could I BE more confused?! But, I went elsewhere in this see of buttons and icons and menus and found something that lets me get e-mails, though it tells me I should get a more "powerful" computer if I want it to tell me the real time and date the e-mails are sent and received! Oh, well...some people only have one arm, or one leg, or have to get around in wheelchairs! I just have to figure out what "spyware, firewalls and virus protection" means...and look to the Lord for a better computer! "One day at a time." "Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything, and thank Him for His answer." -- Philippians 4:6. -- As unusual and awkward as bringing my "techno-" problems to God, and to the body of Christ for intercessory prayer, the Bible tells me bring it to the elders, bring it to the righteous and those with that gift of Spirit and whatever techno-mysticism operated, I am vastly more educated in spyware, anti-virus, firewalls (and how long they can take to install) and the evil minds of the unsaved who devise plots to harm others. The Bible says they will "come as one and flee as seven." I contemplated the plight of some blind children in a photograph as I lost an entire night's sleep, and 2 days alternate activity, being "guided" where to go and what to do (i.e., "download") to somehow restore e-mail contact; and can I say all of the prayers didn't help? I've been unsuccessful with my prior "homepage," and stopped trying -- interestingly the one I have now reqired me to register with Microsoft themselves and they sent me something to partially eradicate "malicious" software in my machine. I can only believe God has a purpose in this larger than myself to be served. I am kind of shocked to learn almost no one is safe from so many computer attacking programs everywhere. Well, I was prepared to live without it if that was His will -- I did feel awfully awkward praying about my computer problems, but somewhat confined as I am, it is a lifeline to other Christian prayer partners and friends. I hope this isn't too long to share a favorite Holy Spirit prayer: "On my knees before the great multitude of heavenly witnesses, I offer myself soul and body to Thee, Eternal Spirit of God.

I adore the brightness of Thy purity, the unerring keenness of Thy justice, and the might of Thy love.

Thou art the Strength and Light of my soul.

In Thee I live and move and am.

I desire never to grieve Thee by unfaithfulness to grace, and I pray with all my heart to be kept from the smallest sin against Thee.

Mercifully guard my every thought and grant that I may always watch for Thy light and listen to Thy voice and follow Thy gracious inspirations.

I cling to Thee and give myself to Thee and ask Thee by Thy compassion to watch over me in my weakness.

Holding the pierced Feet of Jesus and looking at His Five Wounds and trusting in His Precious Blood and adoring His opened Side and stricken Heart, I implore Thee Adorable Spirit, helper of my infirmity, so to keep me in Thy grace that I may never sin against Thee.

Give me grace O Holy Ghost, Spirit of the Father and the Son, to say to Thee always and everywhere, Speak Lord, for Thy servant heareth. "
