At this time of year, there are many charitable organizations looking to help people in need. I would urge you to go to your local jaycees, churches - knights of columbus, for example, the lion's clubs, the american legions, the rotary clubs, local synagogues, any churches. Your local town hall or church may be able to help you find these organizations. Contact your local newspapers or news television stations. You must get your story out and you never know who may be listening or watching whom can help. I would strongly urge you to do this. As the season is already starting, you have no time to waste. At this time of year, they have a project where people write to "santa claus", people who are in need and then these letters are sent to volunteers who " adopt" a family or person in need and help them.
