My friend's mother has breast cancer. She had to have a mastectomy and is currently undergoing treatment. Please pray that the treatments work and that she has the strength to get through this. Please pray that God looks over her and her family during this hard time.
Please pray for my other friend's father who has Prostate Cancer. They caught it at an early stage, but he needs to have about 20 treatments. Please pray that these treatments work and that God is with him and his family during this hard time.
Please pray for Sean (1.5 years old) who has MRSA. Please pray that it is not a serious case and that he gets better soon and that his family has the strength to cope with this.
Please God, please watch over these people and their friends and family. Give these people good health and strength to get past these obstacles in life. Amen.
Dear Lord, you have seen this family go through so much, and I thank you for all the prayers you have answered. Continue to bless their lives and send your healing Spirit to all who are fighting diseases.
Hang in there Karen. Try to find some joy and laughter with your family and friends, even if it is for a moment.
I love this saying:
LET GO
LET GOD
Heavenly Father, we know that nothing is beyond your power to heal. You power know no limits. Lord we know you hear each and every prayer, you know each and every one of us that lifts his or her voice in prayer. Whatever the problem you are able to heal, to restore to renew, or repay. Fahter we ask that you send healing for breast cancer, that you give the body and the mind strength and faith to endure. Lord send healing for prostate cancer, send healing for little Sean. Lord let them all come through these troubles with no complications. Lord we thank and praise you for your goodness and mercy
Lord I ask that you please heal and watch over these people at this time. Dear Lord please remove any and all illness from these people. Lord we ask in your dear name Amen
Prayer to Saint Peregrine
O great St. Peregrine, you have been called "The Mighty," "The Wonder-Worker," because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you.
For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.
(Pause here and silently recall the names of the sick for whom you are praying)
Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.
Amen.
Heavenly Father, please be with this family and their friends during these difficult times. Bless them with restored health, strength, and love. Amen.
Your prayers are generous, sincere and heartfelt. There is no gain in any of this for you materially. You are giving of yourself for the sake of others. You are practicing intercessory prayer. God loves what you are doing. God loves this community here, where we simply read, then ponder for a bit, and then craft our responses to eachother. There is such warmth, and love, and harmony in that whole process! When we respond to eachother, God is with us each and every time! Breast cancer, prostate cancer, MSRA - - these are all afflictions that do not come from God. God may allow these things to happen to us in this life, but His intention in doing so is ultimately loving, as hard as that may be to comprehend. Could it be in some cases that He wants to mobilize us in order to gain our attention? Could it be that He uses all manner of occasions and situations in order to get through to us? Well, my fellow Christian friend, I don't know the answer to these questions. Afterall, I am merely equal to you. But perhaps, in some small way, I've been able to say something to you that will somehow remind you that you are on the right track and that God's "office" is where our letter of appeal or rebuttal should be going? God bless you, your friend's father, your friend's mother, and little Sean.
