Please pray for my sister Stacy, her husband, and two small children. Stacy was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I pray for her quick healing from the surgery and that the chemotherapy treatments be 100% effective, with minimal side effects. Please pray that Stacy gets restored to full and vibrant health!
Thank you all for the candles and prayers for my previous Prayer request for Stacy. I printed them all out before posting this new request. I may not be back on the site for a while, as I am traveling to be with my sister, but will keep you all in my prayers. Bless You All.
11/5: Stacy is healing! She will be going home from the hospital soon. I will be staying with her from 11/9 - 11/18. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS! I'm sorry I haven't been able to respond, but it has been a very busy week. Please know that you are all in my prayers. God Bless You.
Stacy is healing very well from her surgery. Her spirits are excellent and she feels confident in her Doctors and upcoming treatment. Thank you all for your prayers, candles, and support. What a wonderful community. Thanks be to God!!
Stacy had a second surgery today to implant an abdominal port for chemotherapy. This surgery went well with no complications. Thank you, Lord!
Chemotherapy is scheduled to start on December 4th. If all goes well, the treatments will be complete in about 5 months. Please pray that the treatments are 100% effective, with minimal side effects!
I pray that Stacy feels surrounded by the light and love of God during her first two chemotherapy sessions on 12/4 and 12/5. May she finish each treatment feeling energized and hungry! May the Doctors be amazed by her positive attitude and response to the drugs that will rid her body of all cancer cells. Thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers! Amen.
Wonderful news to report! Stacy tolerated the first day of chemo very well and felt really good at the end of the 4 hour session. Just as the chemo was starting she saw a rainbow out the window! Tomorrow is the tougher and longer day (12 hours in the hospital with the more potent chemo drug). I pray that tomorrow goes as smoothly as today. Thanks be to God!
I pray that Stacy feels strong enough to attend her children's school Christmas Program on Thursday.
I pray also for Stacy's children. Her son in particular seems to be struggling. Bless You!
Bless You All for your Prayers!
Second day of chemotherapy in the hospital went well! Unfortunately it was postponed until Thursday, but after the long treatment she came home, took a nap, and was then able to attend her children's Christmas program at the school!! Thanks be to God! Stacy is very tired, but otherwise doing great! Thank you all for your prayers. The next treatment will probably be on 12/11 or 12/12.
Stacy is having a tough day with nausea, bloating and other chemo side effects. Please pray for her to feel better. Bless you!
Nausea is gone and Stacy is feeling better. Thank you all for your prayers! Thank you, Lord for being there in the toughest of times.
Stacy is having another 8 hour chemo treatment in the hospital today. She was very tired this weekend, and is a little worried about going into this next treatment feeling so exhausted. Please pray that she endures this treatment well and her fatigue and nausea are lifted. Thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers!
Stacy tolerated the treatment fairly well. Thank you all for your prayers! I am going out to help Stacy on Sunday and will be staying for one week - so I may not be online very often. Please pray for continued healing for Stacy. I also need prayers for my children Jenny and Michael; that they are comforted and free from anxiety and depression during my absence. Lord, please watch over my precious children during my trip.
I just returned from my sister's and she is doing GREAT! Her next treatment is 12/26. Although she shed a few tears when she lost her hair, she is SO grateful to be feeling so much better this week. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for watching over Stacy.
Chemo treatments are 12/26, 12/27 and 1/2. Please, Lord, grace my sister with a successful treatment with minimal side effects. I pray that she finds great joy in her visit with our brother, as he travels today to care for her this week. AMEN.
Stacy continues to tolerate treatments fairly well. Her next chemo round starts on Tuesday, 1/15.
Stacy is suffering from the typical fatigue and nausea following chemo treatments. Please pray that she is back to feeling energized and hungry!
I have a bit of good news to share! Stacy's tumor marker is down to 20! It was 356 before surgery and 33 before chemo. Normal is under 35! AND, the nurse said her blood work looked like someone who is not undergoing chemo! Thanks be to God! I pray that Stacy's chemotherapy treatment goes smoothly today. She will be in the hospital for 5 hours this time undergoing a treatment directly to a port in her abdomen. Please pray that her side effects are minimal for this round of chemo. God Bless You!
Chemo was canceled for today. Stacy was up all night with a cough. If she recovers, the treatment will be rescheduled for Thursday. Please pray for her quick recovery from this cough and laryngitis. Pray for Stacy to be blessed with a restful night's sleep. Thank You!
Stacy was feeling better today. Her voice is returning and the cough is getting better. The chemo treatment happened today and went well. She's halfway there!!!! There are six rounds of chemo scheduled. Day 1, Day 2, Day 8 and then again on Day 21. This rcycle epeats 6 times. She just completed Day 8 of cycle three, so she is halfway there! Thanks be to God!!!
Stacy is struggling with a few chemo side effects. She is experiencing some hearing loss and ringing in her ears common with Taxol. She also has some nerve damage with her bladder common with the drug Cisplatin. We will learn early next week if they need to lower her chemo dosage, which she is nervous about. Please pray for her for bladder and hearing functions to return to normal. The next chemo is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 5th. I pray that this next round is without side effects. God Bless You!
Abdominal bloating and bladder problems are a bit worse. Stacy had a CT scan yesterday and will learn the results today. Stacy will also find out if she can go forward with the chemo tomorrow. I pray that these symptoms dissipate today and she continues to be fully and completely healed. Please pray this next round of chemo is without side effects. God Bless You All!
Bloating and bladder problems persist, but are better. CT scan was normal. Yeah! Chemo went ahead today as scheduled. I pray that the side effects are MINIMAL for this round. Thank you, Lord, for being right by my sister's side throughout this tough time. AMEN.
Stacy is doing so much better! Her bloating and bladder problems seem to have resolved. Her biggest issue right now is insomnia from the steriods she is given at chemo, and leg cramps throughout the night. But she is SO very grateful for feeling so much better going into the last treatment of round 4. After today she will be 2/3 done with chemo!! Thank you Lord for watching over my wonderful and courageous sister.
Stacy has completed round 4 of chemo! Only 2 more rounds to go! This evening she felt quite bloated - this treatment goes directly into her abdomen and then she has to turn her body to slosh it around. The nurses check her vitals every 15 minutes, and fortunately, all was OK. She ended the procedure feeling a bit drained of energy and very bloated, but otherwise OK. While Stacy slept during the beginning of the treatment, I went into the Chapel and prayed for healing for all those on PrayAbout. God Bless You All!
Stacy is getting mentally ready to face round 5 of chemo. My sister is one of the most caring, courageous and amazing women I have ever known. Stacy has faced this tough cancer with a unsurpassed grace. She is an incredible Mom to her two kids - going to every school and music event, even when she is feeling badly. In the midst of her own struggles, she still cares so deeply about others in her life and in the world. She has already done phone support to two newly diagnosed ovarian cancer patients. Like the song, Wind Beneath My Wings, she is my hero. Her 4th round of chemo was a bit tough with side effects. Please pray that round 5 goes smoothly and WITHOUT side effects. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for being with my sister every step of this journey. God Bless You All.
Today is the last treatment for round 5. Round 6 is the last round of chemo - Yeah! Stacy continues to be mentally strong, but is getting physically fatigued from the treatments. PLEASE PRAY FOR NO SIDE EFFECTS FOR THIS AND FUTURE CHEMO TREATMENTS! There is a concern if she has some of the same abdominal symptoms as last round they won't do round 6 of chemo. Thank you for your prayers. God Bless.
Starting tomorrow Stacy will start her LAST ROUND OF CHEMO!! Her biggest problems are with her stomach. The chemo kills the membrane lining of the stomach making digestion very difficult. She has lots of nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Please pray that she make it through this last round of chemo without these debilitating side effects. I pray that this last round of chemo destroys every last cancer cell! God Bless You for your prayers.
Stacy has completed her final chemotherapy treatment today. Thanks be to God!! She has survived this grueling treatment and is doing well. Only 50% of patients are able to tolerate all six rounds of this particular chemotherapy regimen (18 treatments in all). She has been given a favorable prognosis and our family is so grateful. It will take 3-6 months for her to fully recover from these treatments. While we are celebrating my sisters success, it's dampened a little with the heart problems of our mother. Please keep our Mom in your prayers.
Stacy will have her CA-125 tumor marker checked in her blood every three months for the rest of her life. Although this type of cancer frequently returns, we are confident that Stacy has been cured. Thank you all for your prayers and support. I will never be able to fully express what you all have meant to me. May the Lord Bless every one of the wonderful Prayer Partners here on PrayAbout!!
Stacy is of course thrilled to be done with chemo, but is still feeling pretty lousy. She is struggling with nausea, vomiting, fatigue, occular migraines, and other chemo side effects. Please pray that these subside soon. God Bless You!
Stacy is getting a little stronger each day! She is now able to go to work with a reduced schedule! Stacy is scheduled for another surgery on 4/21 to remove her chemo port.
Stacy is getting stronger each day! Thanks be to God! However, she is emotionally and physically drained at the end of each day working and taking care of her young children. This period of returning to normal life is turning out to be quite difficult. She had fairly severe arthritis prior to chemo, that was put in remission with the chemo for the ovarian cancer, but has come back with a vengence. Please pray for my sister to get some relief from her arthritis, and the emotional and physical stamina to work and take care of her young children. Help her to remain strong in taking care of herself each and every day. Please pray for a successful surgery on 4/21 to remove the chemo port. God Bless You!
Surgery was successful and Stacy is resting comfortably at home. Thank you for your prayers!
Stacy is doing well, considering chemo just ended recently. Thanks be to God!! She is struggling with neuropathy (nerve damage from the chemo) that affected her bladder and feet. However she feels greatly blessed that she is able to get back to work. Thank you all for your prayers.

because they have given you the name of an outlaw,
saying, It is Zion cared for by no man.
Jer 17:14 LORD, heal me and I will be completely
well; rescue me and I will be perfectly safe. You are

Mat 15:30 And there came unto him great multitudes,
having with them the lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and
many others, and they cast them down at this feet; and
he healed them:
Isa 53:4 Surely our diseases he did bear, and our
pains he carried; whereas we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5 But he was wounded because of our
transgressions, he was crushed because of our
iniquities: the chastisement of our welfare was upon
him, and with his stripes we were healed.
