Good morning, MAUII! I had a few really bad days because of my lovely Indian sister, njk (=Neenu) who received a marriage proposal last weekend from a man she has never met before. Her parents force her to accept it, though she loves Jayan, a man from a different caste and financionally not as well off as Neenu's family. I know that there are all kind of tragedies happening everywere on Earth every day but many of them are abstract, by occuring too far from me. Neenu's fate is going to be decided in front of my eyes while she keeps sending her SOS-cries to our site, begging for help! She is just at the door of her adult life but before she could even wake up from her childhood-dreams, she falls victim to the wrongful tradition of her society and which is even worse, to her parents' aggressivity. ("We only want the best for you!" is the formula of the usual parental cruelty.) It is how manipulation, false goodwill and aggressivity kill vulnerable innocence at every step, but God cannot interfere because it is OUR WORLD, with laws, customs and traditions created by us. I regret Neenu for she is forbidden to follow her true feelings and is thrown into the arms of a man whom she loathes to marry. It is only a "love-affair" but at the same time it is much more. Her life becomes sprained from the start. It will have an impact even on her future childrenl Your requests are too abstract sometimes to relate to them, MAUII, except of the first ones about your daughter and your past addiction which you deleted later. Though people can turn to you only if they can SEE you! You make them look upwards to see God but this way they cannot see YOU - sometimes they cannot see God either...In the shine of your lighthouses you become visible for a moment which is great. If you have things to pray for, which only God can give you, I pray God for your mute requests to be granted. May God help your hidden dreams come true, may Our Lord strengthen your faith and hope in Him, and in his created world! Once you wrote a wonderful sentence: "I pray the Lord my soul to keep" so I pray the Lord your (our) soul to keep... Amen

I hope you are ok, MAUII. To tell the truth, I worry for you since you deleted the message in which you openly talked about your one-time alcoholism which you recently quit. I appreciated your honesty very much, like many of us, and was surprised to see that the message disappeared a few days ago. You ought to be very proud of yourself to be strong enough to change your life around. Your openness was disarming and encouraging. I hope I am wrong and you just don't have a computer near you right now... God bless you and lead you to a peaceful shore in the brightness of your lighthouses! Brigitta

I would like to reach those peaceful shores with the help of lighthouse-people near me. Let me get there, oh God! So many of us would need that peaceful place to recover our strength.
