No change in my Mother's condition, but she seems to be feeling OK, just a bit more tired than usual. Fortunately the "atrial flutter" is not as serious as "atrial fibulation", but it does put her at risk for a stroke. I pray that her heart returns to a normal "sinus rhythm" and that she continues to stay healthy during the tough period of chemo treatments for my sister. Thank you for your prayers.

Just spoke to my Mom - she is having a bit of trouble coping with my sisters chemo that starts tomorrow morning. She is feeling "numb". Please be with her Lord during this trying time. Let the chemo treatments go well for my sister, and please also be with my worried mother. Amen.

Mom's condition is the same. She now has heart surgery scheduled with a specialist in LA for Feb. 13th. A year ago she booked a trip and was given the OK recently to go ahead if she takes it quite easy and has the heart meds with her. So, my brother and I will take care of my sister while she is away. . She will be gone 12/18 - 1/10 on a discount cruise trip. Although she will be spending a great deal of time resting, I pray this time away will rejuvinate her. Dear Lord, Please keep Mom safe and healthy while she travels. May she be free from anxiety and worry about her daughter, and be given the thorough rest she needs and deserves.

Mom is back safely from her trip. Her heart surgery is still scheduled for February 13th.

My Mom leaves for LA on Tuesday, Feb. 12th. Her surgery is scheduled for Wed. the 13th. The surgeon will go through the femoral artery and will "zap" areas in the heart until the heart returns to a normal rhythm. This surgery has many risks, but if all goes well, she is released the next morning. I will be taking my sister to chemo on the 12th when my Mom flies to LA. I want to be in two places at once! Please pray for a successful surgery for my Mom. God Bless You!

My Mom has arrived safely in LA and feels ready for this surgery tomorrow at noon. The procedure lasts six hours. I am praying and believing I will get a phone call tomorrow evening letting me know that the procedure was a success! My Mom was relieved to hear that my sister's chemo went well today. Thank you, Lord, for watching over my family. AMEN.

My Mom just now went into surgery, 2:30pm LA time for a 6-hour procedure. Her spirits were pretty good. Thank you ALL for your prayers. God Bless You!

The surgery has finished and the first reports are very good. Thanks be to God!!!! The next 24-48 hours still carry significant risk, but the news is wonderful so far - her heart is in perfect sinus rhythm after a complication free surgery. Thank you ALL, my dear Prayer Partners!! Let us praise the Lord!

My Mother has been released from the hospital and her heart is still in rhythm. The surgery was successful, and I am so very grateful. However, she learned that she has low electrical output in her left atria, and has to be on heart medication for life. This medication makes her feel very weak, and she is so very depressed about that. Please pray for her depression to lift and that the side effects aren't as bad as in the past. Thank You. Mom's heart went back into atrial fibulation, and her blood pressure is very high. She may have to be hospitalized if her heart does not convert soon. Please pray for her her heart rhythm to be restored and her blood pressure to normalize. This is so hard for both my Mom and my sister Stacy going through chemo; they are so worried about each other.

Mom's heart is still not in rhythm, but she is feeling better. Her blood pressure is high, but no longer dangerously high. If her heart does not convert naturally, she will get the paddles in the hospital to try to convert her.

Mom is scheduled to get the paddles to convert her heart on Friday, March 21st. Please pray that this procedure is successful and without complication. Bless You!

Initial reports look good! The cardioversion successfully put my Mom's heart back in rhythm. She is resting comfortably at home. Now we just need to wait and pray that it stays that way! Thank you all for your prayers!!!

Mom's heart is now going in and out of rhythm, every few hours. And her blood pressure is escalating. While this is a joyous day that my sister is done with chemotherapy, I pray that Mom's heart problems get resolved. When she is not in rhythm she is so very tired. She has had this problem intermittently for over 12 years, but she told me a few days ago that she thinks her heart may be ceasing to function for her. Please keep my Mom in your prayers. Mom is feeling a bit better - Thanks be to God! She is still in/out of rhythm, but isn't feeling quite so tired or depressed. She gets very out of breath when trying to walk, so she is going to try to find a cardiac rehab program to see if she can improve her health. Thanks for praying for my Mom - God Bless You!

My Mom is hanging in there! She is now more in rhythm than out - Thanks be to God! She is starting a walking program - 20 minutes per day. I pray that she is successful and that her heart stays permanently in rhythm.

My Mom is coming out to visit me for a few days. She is now on oxygen and the tanks are being delivered to my home. Please pray for her safe journey, and that her heart stays in rhythm during her visit. God Bless You!

I called my Mom today to wish her a Happy Mother's Day, and she let me know that her heart is out of rhythm again. I am grateful she was OK during our visit, but am so sad about this turn of events. It's back to the Doctor again. Please pray for her heart to return and STAY in sinus rhythm. She is so very tired when the heart doesn't beat properly. Thank you for your prayers.
