A prayer for healing
God, hear my prayer,
And let my cry come to You.
Do not hide from me in the day of my distress
Turn to me and speedily answer my prayer.
Eternal God, Source of healing,
Out of my distress I call upon You.
Help me sense Your presence
At this difficult time.
Grant me patience when the hours are heavy;
In hurt or disappointment give me courage.
Keep me trustful in Your love.
Give me strength for today, and hope for tomorrow.
To your loving hands I commit my spirit
When asleep and when awake. You are with me; I shall not fear.

Deep within our being where truth and peace yearn to reign over chaos and confusion ... We seek you. Amidst the daily activities that keep us so busy ... We seek you.

Among the people who come into our lives--our loved ones, our friends, our companions, even our enemies ... We seek you.

When we feel empty, distraught, frustrated, and lost; when we wonder in what direction we are to go ... We seek you.

When fear rises up in us and we do not believe in our ability to express your love ... Help us to trust in you. When we doubt your presence in the difficult aspects of our days ... Help us to trust in you.

When we question the way you move in our lives ... Help us to trust in you. When emptiness, loneliness, sorrow and other struggles cause us to forget your love for us ... Help us to trust in you.

Almighty God, who gives strength to the weak and upholds those who might fall, give her courage to do what is right, for those that trust in you have no need to fear.
Make be brave to face any danger which may now threaten her. Give her the help that you have promised to those who ask it, that she may overcome her fears and go bravely forward.

Fill her with courage, that nothing which is her duty to do, may be too hard for her. Let her put her trust in your power and goodness.
