December 15. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands to Your name. Guide me, Lord, not according to my plan but Yours. I do not want to be found sleeping when You come. When You want me, I want to be ready.

The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Start with praise! for it opens your awareness to Me. Discipline yourself to prayer. Even when you do not feel the thrill or joy you think should accompany worship, do it anyway, and the sunshine of My Spirit will penetrate the cloud cover. Joy and calm will surely come.
