Last night my son and his sister Brittney went bowling with some friends. He called me early so I picked him and his sister up. I took her back to her house and they talked the entire trip about their friend. I found out last night that Brittney had been suicidal, and had cut her wrists last year. Their friend Dustin is now suicidal, threatening to cut his wrists and is blaming it on Brittney. These children are in trouble, Lord. I talked to them and tried to say the right things. Although she is not my child, Lord, I have known her since the day she was born. Please, Lord watch over Brittney and my son! Help their friend Dustin get through this. Help his parents to see that this young man needs help. He's struggling with his adolescence... and Lord you know that I know how hard it is to be a teenager. Please Lord, help these children. Help all the children who feel alone, help all the children who feel like they have no one to talk to. Show them that YOU LOVE THEM! Show them that they are NOT alone, show them that they can talk to YOU! Help the parents of these children to wake up and realize their children need help. And, Lord, please watch over my son that this doesn't happen to him. I did not know he was surrounded with such issues. Help him to continue to be strong. And little Brittney, help her to see that the decisions her friends make are not her fault. Help her to see that, although she wants to be there for her friends, there are some things that only God can help with. That is such a burden for a teenager to bear. Surround these children with your love, Lord, please protect them that no harm comes to them. And Bless my precious son and Brittney for knowing the right thing to do by calling me to come get them early! I thank you, Lord for that! I am so grateful, Lord. Amen
