College-aged Christian son being led astray by Hindu girl
My Christian son started college in the fall; and is now 7+ hours away. Within 5 weeks, he started dating a non-Christian girl who is leading him astray. My son witnessed her being disrespectful toward me in our home; but started dating her anyway. We have caught her in countless lies already; and when my son confronts her, she "explains them away" with more lies; or says that she or we misunderstood. She gave him statues of Buddha to keep in his room although she knew he is a Christian. She's done so many things already, I'd have to write a book to tell them all here. In short, this girl and my son could possibly lose their scholarships because the scholar program holds them to a high level of standards. Please pray that my son will be delivered from any non-Christian influence; and that he will be forgiven. Also pray that my family will be restored to the loving, trusting Christian family that it once was; and that my husband and I will do and say all the right things to bring about a positive outcome. I agree, it is not the religion. Hindu is way older than Christianity, and people lived and were noble even before Christianity. Maybe you should give her a chance, I wasn't given the chance to explain a situation and I lost most loved people. That you think you shouldn't have contact with people who do not believe in Christ I find most insulting to me and others here who are not Chrostians. Isn't the Christianity about mercy and toleration?

We have given her MANY chances for the sake of keeping our family together. Our son is our only child. I even sat down with this girl one day and had a one-on-one heart-to-heart with her only to learn later that most of what she told me druing that 3 hours was lies. I'm sorry to have offended you. That was not my intent. I obviously came to the wrong place to ask for prayers and understanding; and will probably unsubscribe now. Also, it's obvious that you are not going to pray for my situation; however, I am a loving person despite what you believe and will pray for your situation. Thank you for your time.

I don't believe her religion is what causing her problems. It's her personality - to be the way she is. God does not approve, of liars, and those that act to manipulate others in their lives. I will pray for God to show your son the truth - about this relationship - and that God prevents this girl from harming your family in any way. Amen.
