Is Your Hut Burning?

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly to God to rescue him, and everyday he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.

Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions. But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened, everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger.” God how could You do this to me!" he cried.

Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him.
"How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers.
"We saw your smoke signal", they replied.

It is easily to get discouraged when things are going badly. But we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering. Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground.---it maybe a smoke signal to summons the grace of God.

God bless you brother, for your desire to grow in Christ and your desire to live for him alone. You are so right in your revelation as to why things happened and how He will bless your future because you have sown seeds of righteousness.
I am so sorry for your divorce, but God knows the why and ifs. perhaps he will reconcile you both down the road, if that be your hearts desire.
I will pray to our Lord to equip my brother for this transformation and new chapter in his life. Gird him up with wisdom, and discernment to make the right choices in his life. Rain down your grace and mercy on this family and bring them all to a saving knowledge of you. may you use this situation to glorify you in the end. In Jesus Name I ask, Amen

Touch her heart with Your courage and infinite love for all. Touch her mind with Your wisdom, that she may always proclaim Your praise. Teach me to reach out to You in my need, and help her to lead others to You by her example.
