PLEASE READ THIS WE REALLY NEED EVERYONE'S PRAYERS!!!!

I need prayers for my 17 year old brother. He has been saying for awhile that he wants to kill himself and yesterday my dad called 911 and they came and took my brother to the hospital and he is not going to be allowed to come home untill he gets help. He has been diagnosed with ADD and ODD (objective defiant disorder I think) but they are talking about re-diagnosing him today and I know that one of the things they are thinking he might have is bipolar disorder. I guess my prayer is just that he gets the help that he needs. I can't say on here what he has done but he has been through alot and done alot of bad things. he has been depressed for years now and he says that he has attempted suicide before more than once. He is a good kid that just got mixed up with the wrong people. I just pray that he gets the help he needs and that he can do whatever it is he needs to do to get his life back on track. My parents have decided at this point that whats bests for him is to get his GED and drop out of school and I just pray also that God gives them the wisdom to do what is best for him. Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this and for your prayers I really appreciate it. I have had time to calm down so I might not sound it, but I really am devastated by this whole situation. My brother means the world to me and I just pray that we can help him get his life back on track. Thank you all.

Update - 5 months ago:

Please also pray that my brother goes to the facility that will be best for him to get help. My parents want to send him to one place and their Insurance company is trying to talk them into sending him to a different one. I just want to pray that he goes to which ever place can help him the best regardless of insurance or price. Thanks everybody.

Update - 4 months ago:

Thank you everybody thats been praying for my brother. Sorry I haven't updated in awhile. He is home now, he came home about 2 weeks ago I think. He is better He's not talking about suicide anymore. I am concerned because ever since he got back, he has been very quiet and withdrawn. He does talk to me, but besides me, he seems to be mad at the entire world, he said yesterday that he is mad at God too. I am glad that he is home and he seems to be better. I just continue to pray that he will be alright, I pray that God will touch him guide him in the choices he makes, and I pray that God will give us, my parents and family and I, the wisdom to know what is best for him. And I pray too for the counselors and doctors that they will be able to help him and get him on the right track with school and friends and just life in general.

Update - 2 months ago:

Hey, I haven't been on in awhile. I just wanted to quick thank everyone who has prayed for my brother and my family and who are still continuing to pray. A lot of you have been asking me how he is doing. Well..... still not 100% better but he is better. He is going to school for GED and he is kind of doing side jobs for people. But his moods and everything seem much more stable. Still has problems with anxiety and so do I actually and I just pray that God helps with that for both of us especially him. And for those who are asking about me, I am doing alright. I do have some prayer concerns which I will post after. Mostly that I am going for 2 job interviews and I need prayer for that. But I am doing ok, my brother
s doing better and my family is doing well. So Thanks everyone for all your prayers. =)

i have faced similar problems to your brother, and have some understanding of how it feels to want to kill yourself and to try to. I pray in Jesus's Name for your brother to be restored to full health in his mind. Lord, grant unto him and his family peace, comfort and hope. AMEN

Whitney - My daughter was diagnosed as OCD, ADHD, ODD and bipolar when she was in elementary school. I understand what your parents are going through. Read my prayer requests they say it all.

Heavenly Father - I pray for this young man and his family. Please heal his mind and his heart Father. Watch over his family and give them strength as they continue to deal with the situation they are in. Allow the blood of Jesus to flow over this young man and place your hedge of protection around him and his family. Bless him Father and let him know feel your loving arms around him. In Jesus precious name I pray - Amen

Is your brother a born-again Christian? Doe she go to church. I know he is mad at God but God still Loves him and wants to help.

Whitney21 - 20 days ago: No, he is not. He goes to Youth Group at our church but I don't believe that he really believes in God. He only goes because a lot of his friends do but I am still hopeful that one day someone will get through to him and somehow he will start to believe.
