my son with autism / Pdd
I have recently had a school screening for my son who is 5 , and my request is that he gets approved to this school that will help him with his disability . the IEP that i soon have to attend will decide whether to approve it or not ..i hope and pray to the lord that my son will be approved to attend this school that i feel in my heart is the best for him , please pray for the approval for this school ...Thank you all for keeping me in prayer in advance .

Update - 3 months ago:
i wanted to keep everyone updated with my sons progess with schooling for september . I recently had a IEP meeting with the board of directors . I am going to see what will happen next . the provate school called me . and they wanted to see how my son was there are so kind . the IEP suggest i go to the schools they suggested for my son . for children with autism / severe . they stated he is very high functioning . i pray that in time that eventually that my son will attend the private school where he can kepp the help he needs . i will keep everyone updated on what happens next .

My 8 yr old son also has autism/pdd and I would like to pray for you. Dear Lord, please hear our prayer. Please Lord, open the door and turn on the light for this family in need. Please show them the way to best educate this child with special needs. Also dear Lord, please grant him teachers with all the patience and love to be able to help him to learn all the special things there is to learn in this world and be successful. Also dear Lord, please give him special friends who understand who he is and love him anyway and dont mistreat him because he is different so that he can enjoy going to school and playing with other children which is also very important to his growth, Dear Lord. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

You can get help getting your son services and other kinds of help through a regional center for children with developmental disabilities. Autism/PDD is one of them. I knew someone with a child with the same diagnosis and our local regional center helped out that family at IEP's, respite and other services needed. Please look into this resource in your area? I will pray for your guidance. I have a son with special needs and our local regional center is a HUGE help for networking!
