UPDATE 8th June.My Brother-in-Law Barry has Cancer Now My Cousin Irene
Irene and Barry's surgery is today please hold them in your prayers. Father please protect them both and I ask for complete healing for them all. Amen.
Found out that my cousin Irene has cancer too, she has surgery on the 20th May. Barry has his sugery this month too. Father please heal them both. I lift up all the prayer for cancer victims. Lord in your mercy hear our prayer! Amen
My Dear Prayer Partners, Please help me to pray for my B-in-L Barry. I have just found out today that he has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Apparently he went to the doctors because he had a dry cough and he could not get rid of it. Barry's dad died from lung cancer, so the doctor sent him for an x-ray, thank God! We are all praying they have caught it in time, he does not smoke, but did many years ago! This is my eldest sister's hubby and they are a devoted lovely couple. Their daughter Victoria had their first grandchild, Daniel last year and she is expecting another child, so does not need this worry of her dad either! I love and respect Barry very much and this has shocked me. Dear Heavenly Father, Please send Angels to watch over Barry, may the prognosis be good, guide the medical staff to give the best treatment for Barry, give strength to my sister Christine as she copes with this, my thoughts and prayers are with them and I come against this cancer in Jesus name. Pic of Barry, I took this when we were up visiting, mum was helping Barry with his fishing line, Barry works hard and his past time is his fly fishing. I was saying, mother-in law's come in useful sometimes don't they Barry, so we were laughing as he said, that's right! He's a good man!

Thank you for your support, everything has happened so quickly, we are really thankful to the Doctor who made an instant diagnosis, we go back next Monday for the final results of the pet scan and then we will know when surgery will take place, we are all being very positive, Barry is so healthy, with no loss of weight or appetite, so hopefully we are in at the early stages.

Today Monday 31st March Barry goes to gets his results today. I am holding him to prayer. Lord please be with him. I ask for complete healing. Amen.

Barry could not have a biopsy yesterday as he had too many white blood cells due to him being not well. They are going for Monday 21st for the biopsy now. So I come against any infections that would hold back Barry's treatment. Lord please in your mercy Hear our prayers. Amen. thank you for helping me pray I appreciate U all. Love Katrina x

Sorry for delay in replying, Barry went in yesterday for his biopsy and I bought him home tonight, everything went well, they are concerned about the high white cell blood count which the body produced to fight infection, Barry met with the heomotologist today who told him it is not something to worry about but in future will have to be monitored so if the problem continues they can give medication to help keep the blood count down, he will go back next week for the results of his biopsy and then get the date of his surgery, we will probably not make it this weekend unfortunately, but our priority now is to keep Barry germ free, his virus last week mean't a weeks delay in doing the biopsy and we don't want to risk any further delays, I will do my best to get some of the family there but I am really full of cold myself and feeling very tired, but we are still in great spirits and feeling very positive, when I visited Barry last night he said that since he has come back from Theatre the pain had gone and he wasn't coughing anymore, he asked the surgeon if he had dislodged the lump, but he assured him it was still there and they had a laugh about it, he said they still couldn't be 100% sure it was cancerous but it certainly needs to be removed, anyway am going to shoot, hope you are well, take care

This weekend we have a family party for my twin sisters 50th birthday party that my sister is referring to, that they cannot attend as Barry has to be kept germ free. My mum too attended hospital today and was told that she could not have surgery for her bakers cyst. because of her pacemaker, so she has to endure the pain in her leg. I lift all this to prayer. and thank U for all your help with prayer. God Bless U all Love Katrina

I have spoken to my cousin Irene this morning Fri 16th, she will go into University Hospital in Coventry on Monday for her surgery Tuesday 20th. She is very moved when I told her of the lovely prayers on here and given her the link so her and the family can read them. She is being very strong and we had a few little laughs and tears. I tank you all for the lovely prayers and Lord I trust that both Irene and Barry respond to treatment in fact that the prognosis is better than anybody thinks, because we believe in our healing prayers and that Lord your will work through the medical team. We ask your protection on Irene and Barry because they are wonderful people Lord. Amen God Bless Love Katrina x

Part of my sister Chris's e-mail to me.....Barry has not been given a date for his operation yet, he is going to ring tomorrow, the doctor gave him some anti biotics because Barry thought he had caught a chest infection and was feeling really poorly, but since he has taken the anti-biotics he has been feeling much better, we are beginning to wonder whether he has actually got cancer, both biopsy's have not confirmed it, anyway time will tell.

Today I was helping a corporate customer with her phone and she was telling me that people had been sending good will messages to her phone and she was unable to reply. She went on to tell me her husband had been ill with cancer and he was coming home today. We had a lovely chat on the phone, I told her I understood as I had family going in hospital today. I managed to sort her problem out with her phone doing diagnostics much to her delight. I told her about prayabout site and gave her the link and she said it was OK to add Kevin her husband to my prayers so I lift Kevin up and ask for your continued healing Lord . Be with this couple Lord and their family and I thank you that it was me that answered her call today and being able to be help her and pray for her husband Kevin. Lord please let Barry and Irene have a restful night be with my sister Christine and Brian Irene's husband keep them strong Lord. Amen God Bless Love Katrina x

OK Update Everyone: I have heard that Barry has not had a good week and Irene has to have Chemo and they could not remove all they wanted to from Irene. So Lord we continue to pray for healing. I want to buy a Digital projector and I will go to some of the villages and will show the films of Jesus Christ for weekly 2 times that too the people will divert with their minds and come near to the Jesus Christ. Please pray for me the god will do this and I have hope in this.
