Jesus Christ told His disciples, "And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever-- The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you."

Dearest Abba Father, Pour out your Holy Spirit upon us. In this difficult thing called life we become weary very easily. We need your power in us more than ever before. Cleanse us. Cast out that which is not of you and bring in those things which we need. Restore our broken and weary souls. Holy Sprit, Be our teacher. Instruct us the way we should walk. Reveal to us the length, breadth, depth, and height of Jesus' love. Be our comforter when we are distressed. Gently soothe our sorrows, calm our grief. Be our guide. Lead us to all truth divine. Give us increasing knowledge of the Almighty God. Be our intercessor. Teach us how to pray according to God's holy will. Incite in us with a strong desire to walk according to our heavenly Father's will. Be our eternal rest witnessing unto us always that we are God's own children and that we are blessed with His unchanging love and favor and that we , by Jesus' blood, are fully reconciled to our Father God forever. Be our sanctifier. Dwell within us and purify and cleanse our every thought. Subdue the power of each besetting sin and bring our will to sweet submission before Yahweh's authority and power. Be our quickener. You understand that how easily we are prone to become weary and fade away. Quicken within us the power, strength and grace of God continuously. Holy Spirit, we fully yield us unto You to be led by You every moment of our lives. Do for us more than we ask or imagine. In Jesus' name, we ask. Amen.
