Prayer for Strength and Healing Prayer Answered
I have a lot of medical issues right now, and I am somewhat weary trying to deal with it all. Most days I Trust fully in the Lord's will and remain positive, although on some days I get a bit down. It's possible that these things will all resolve. I pray for the Lord to give me strength and positivity to face what's ahead. Please, God, take care of my dear Mom and sister who are in such need of your healing touch.
Here is what I am facing:
1. Developed shoulder bursitis and can barely use my left shoulder. PT is making it much worse. Can't take anti-inflammatories due to reflux. Have appointment with orthopedic surgeon on 4/29.
2. Reflux is under control with prescription meds, but is still there if I miss even one day. I am concerned what will happen when I go off the meds. I have esophageal damage that needs to heal.
3. I have an elevated cancer tumor marker CA-125, taken because my sisters ovarian cancer could be hereditary. Met with oncologist and genenticist on 4/22. Took another CA-125 reading and will get the results next week. If this marker continues to elevate, I will have the hysterectomy. If not, we retake every three months until it returns to the normal range. (could be elevated due to fibroids).
4. My colonoscopy found a growth pressing into my colon last summer. Most likely benign. But I have to have a procedure on 4/28 to make sure it hasn't grown. It's possible that the growth is a rare tumor called a gist, but it also may be nothing serious. Will find out on 4/28.
5. I am only 51, but I seem to have developed arthritis. Can't take anti-inflammatories due to the reflux. However, it seems to be a little better the last few days.
If it be Your will, Lord, please send healing that I may continue to proclaim your Word and care for my family. I now feel calm and confident in Your Plan for my life. Thank you Lord, for this peace that I feel.

Most of my health issues have been resolved:
1. Had a cortisone shot in shoulder and it's a little better. Start with a new PT next week.
2. Reflux is fine on prescription meds -- I will try going off of them in a few weeks.
3. My CA-125 DROPPED to 23!! After being elevated for five months, and about to do a hysterectomy, this tumor marker dropped to almost normal (normal is 20 for this test). Anyway, since the value has dropped we can assume the elevation was due to fibroids. I now just have to do yearly monitoring.
4. Procedure at University Hospital showed the growth pressing into the colon is the SAME SIZE as 9 months ago. So, now we just need to monitor yearly, and no surgery is required at this time.
5. Arthritis a bit better.
Just last week I was facing the possibility of shoulder surgery (my mom has had three!), hysterectomy, and colon surgery. Now I have NO surgeries on the horizon.

Update - 2 days ago:
My gastroenterologist called yesterday to say my biopsy results on the growth pressing into the colon were inconclusive and I need to see a GI oncologist. I am a little surprised since the lesion is the SAME SIZE as last year. Anyway, hopefully this will be something I need to monitor rather than to remove surgically. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for being with me throughout my medical issues. AMEN.
