"Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." - 1 John 3:18
How do you want to be remembered?
All of us think about that question from time to time. I would hope that after I die, people would say of me, "He was an encourager. He gave me hope and courage." I want to be a blessing.
Anybody can be a blessing. All you need are three things: A head, a heart, and hands. You only need to be able to give a word, a look, a touch. Anyone can be a channel of God's blessing.
God needs you. He wants to use you. He wants you to put your faith into action. You can be a mind through which Christ thinks, a heart through which Christ loves, and hands through which Christ helps those in need.
Next time you say, "Use me, Lord," you'd better really be asking for that. God never turns down such a generous offer. Then hold onto your hat - because it's never boring when God uses you.

Dear God, I want to be Your heart and hands to those You bring across my path. Fill me with Your love, positive words of encouragement, faith and hope today, and use me in whatever way You can.

Find a hurt and heal it. Find a need and fill it.

Shirlgirl - thanks for your encouragement and for lighting a candle. You are so right - God wants to use us and won't turn down a generous offer.
