Happiness, Faith, Feelings and LOVE.
It seems we spend most of our lives seeking happiness.
Happiness depends on each individuals definition of the
word. I have seen by my own life that happiness is very illusive.
Especially when I spent so much of my life seeking it.
Other than when I was a little boy, I can’t say that I have been
completely and totally happy. There have been periods of good feeling in my life. But it is not constant.
As an adult, happiness became something I kept looking for everywhere. And never found it in the world. All I found was regret and wishing I had not done some things. And wishing I had kept on doing others.
Now I know the reason why. The reason is when we are children, we have protection, we lack nothing, we have our parents in whom we can count on. We count on them for support
emotionally or otherwise. We can go to school and come back
and complain that we had a bad day. Our parents would usually comfort us and go talk to the teachers, counselors, to our tormentors mothers, etc. We FELT protected in every sense of the word.........................And then we grew up.
The protection became personal. We had to learn how to protect ourselves. Mom and/or Dad couldn’t go and tell off the guy that we thought should stay away from the girl we wanted to go out with. So, we were on our own. We FELT a little frightened, lost, and vulnerable. And despite the fear we FELT, we did not let anybody see it.
As you can see, I capitalized all the words with the word Feel in it. Because we have somehow come to the conclusion that we have to FEEL good about everything. FEELINGS and happiness we think, come together as one package. It affects our entire lives. We don’t FEEL happy because of this or that.................................the list is endless.
FEELING is what we SHOULDN’T rely on when it comes to our relationship with God. Jesus did not FEEL good suffering for our transgressions. He did not FEEL good when they uttered all kinds of slander against him. He did not rely on FEELINGS when He prayed to Our Father. He had Joy. JOY is not FEELING. JOY is KNOWING that we have our protector, our intercessor, our healer, our parent. Our heavenly DAD/MOM.
JOY is the green light that should come before every prayer and every act of FAITH that we present to God the Father. And we know that we cannot do it because we are sinful humans. That is where our Savior comes in. I mean Literally inside us. His faith is the one that heals, the one that brings about miracles, the one that moves mountains. That is why He said that if we had faith the size of a mustard seed.(the smallest seed, yet grows a big tree).
It is HIS FAITH inside us that move mountains. Our own faith is smaller than a mustard seed. We are worldly little vessels made of clay. We don’t have enough faith on our own to move anything. But God can through Jesus Christ whose faith is in us.
We are easily manipulated by the enemy without the LOVE of God inside us. He keeps the devil away from us. When satan comes along seeking whom he may devour, he is seeking those who rely on their FEELINGS and a half hearted PLEASE GOD.
There is no power behind those prayers. We then wait for the FEELING. FEELING is not the green light. JOY is.
LOVE is the heart of everything else. Without LOVE, there can be no Happiness, Faith, or JOY. I pray that God help us to understand and Give us His LOVE. So we can conquer anything that may happen to us. In Jesus Name. I pray. AMEN!!

Dan, Its so good to hear such words of wisdom in a world that's gone mad. I also read your message to Lucy, who is living with the torment of knowing that her sister was killed. Its so difficult to comfort someone in so much pain and it is also so difficult to point them in the right direction without seeming inconsiderate and insensitive. You so gently guided her towards the Light whilst still understanding / sharing her pain. I Thank God for people like you. May God Bless you and your family now and forever. Amen.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I have really been having trouble with satan since we talked to the doctor. Today I decided that I needed to come on the site and start praying, I couldn't let him win and take my joy that I feel when I pray for others. Thank you for all of your prayers. Thank you Carmen, and yes I got your posts after I rebooted. I know how you feel. We are doing what we can. And that is to pray, that will keep the enemy away from us. While the Spirit of Christ is in us he can't touch us. He will try but we can tell him to get out of the way. He is limited in his power. God is not.
