A lady in our parish is very mentally ill and seems to have no family intervention. Her behavior is causing us all a great deal of worry as the focus of her negative behavior is our parish priest. As the law stands here in Australia, no one can force her to accept help unless she is a physical danger to herself or others. To date the abuse has been verbal and spreading rumors (untrue) and being generally unpleasant to all and sundry. The situation is worsening and several of us would like to help but so far have been unsuccessful. I think our best recourse (and we have already been praying) is for as many prayers for her welfare as possible before something drastic happens. Could you please pray for her to find peace and for protection for our parish priest. He is a very kind and tolerant man and is greatly appreciated by all but very vulnerable. Could you also pray for his safety and well being.
