“I love my mother. She is such a joy in my life. When my father died, when I was 9 years old, my mother provided for me and raised me with stern and loving hands. Three years later my mother lost two of her son’s at the same time, she was strong. She has always been a strong woman, and the love and respect that I have for this woman is everlasting. She is now 88 years old and she has trouble with her mind--you see, she has Alzheimer’s. She also has COPD. Even with all that she has endured in her life, she remained strong in her faith. I love you Lord, and I thank you, and I praise you, for this mother of mine.”

I pray and ask our dear Father to bless my mother as I know she is in her latter days of her life. I ask and I pray that she will not suffer and that she will continue to live a life that is comfortable. I pray that he will maintain her mind and that she will continue to live a life of peace, and in knowing that we the family love her so deeply, and we are so grateful for the woman that she is.
