my precious son Cody
Please pray for my sixteen year old son Cody. He has been diagnoised with epilepsy. He has had five seizures in the past year and a half. He has third degree burns to his face which has left him scared from one of his seizures, he just had another this week at school in the locker room after baseball practice and had to get stitches. I pray for Gods protection over my son, I pray for him to be lifted up for this is taken its toll on him, and I can see that he is starting to become depressed. I thank all of you, also please pray for God to give me strength to get through this and to help me overcome my fear of all of this.
Update - 4 months ago:
Cody got his stitches out to day from his fall in baseball practice. I now have a new neurologist, I think he is going to be better for us. Cody has one more baseball game left tomorrow, but wont get to play. The atletic trainer at the school would not accept the dr note from his pediatrician stating it was ok to play. He said he wanted a note from the new nurologist. He told Cody that he dont want the other boys to have to see him having a seizure, so I guess what he is trying to say is he wants them to be controlled. We all want that, but I know Cody loves his baseball, and I dont think its right the way he worded it to my son. But I will not say anymore, for I know the man does not know anything at all about my sons condition. And people are scared by the unknown.
Update - 4 months ago:
Cody's new nurologist, changed around his medication, and added another 200 mg to his dose. So I am praying that this will control the seizures, and my baby boy can have a normal life. I just love him so much, if I could I would take this from him and put it in me. But I know God has a plan and purpose for Cody, and I have to trust him with all I have. Faith is what I am building on, and I have put all my faith in Jesus.
Update - 3 months ago:
Sorry I haven't been on in a while. We took Cody on a summer vacation,to get away from everything. We all had a good time. Him and I leave for Ohio Mon morning, and he will have laser surgery on Tuesday. Thanks everyone for all your prayers, all of you have been wonderful, Nd I pray God touches all of your lives. Thank you all so much.
Update - 2 months ago:
Cody started laser surgery, we also went on vacation, you can see Cody tubing, he is in the middle and he had the time of his life. It made me feel so good to see him smiling. We talked Dad into letting him get on the tube between his big brother and his girlfriend, it took some persuading. My husband can be a little to over protective with him. I tend to be a little less, because I trust Jesus will take care of my son. I thank my sweet savior for keeping him safe through all this. I also added some recent pics of Cody, as you can see his scars have set in, and that is what the laser surgery is suppose to help. The puppy in the pic is TBeau, Cody named him after a college football player that he really likes. TBeau is a black lab, he is now 8 mths old and is a very loyal dog, he helps me look after Cody.As far as myself, I go to the doctor Thursday and get the results of my biopsy, I know that after all I have been through with my son Cody that I can get through any thing. I also have Jesus on my side, and he will get me through whatever it is that I have to face, every mountain I must climb he will carry me, I put my faith in my wonderful father. I pray my sweet savior will answer all of your prayers and bless all of you.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that You will answer all our prayers for Cody. May Your Divine light, love, strength, courage, hope and mercy shine down upon him and heal him of this illness. Please watch over him and protect him from further harm. I pray that his spirits will be uplifted and that he will find great love and happiness in this life. We have Cody in our prayers Tatum. He seems to be such a blessing. I don't blame your husband trying to protect him. I am also a Dad of a 17 year old. But as you say, we should try and be more faithful that God will be in control of every one of our lives as we get near to Him. Thank you so much. My husband is really having it rough now. I was just diagnoised with breast cancer, and if has reached one of my lymphnodes. He is really scared now. I am trying to teach him about faith, and how to trust in Jesus. Cody had another seizure last week, I had never witnessed one. He had it in my living room while I was outside. My older sons girlfriend called for me. When i knelt down I lay my hands upon his head and called out to Jesus, and just kept saying Jesus. Everything went away and you could feel peace. My sons girlfreind was in awe. She says she now belives in Jesus. God is working thru me and Cody to touch people, at that moment I knew, and I know when the time is right that Cody will be healed. You know I always freaked out before with Codys seizures. But this time was different, its amazing how the name Jesus can just calm everything. I thank God for his son, I thank him so much for Jesus.
