Dana, I have you on my 'DAILY' prayer list. If you get the time please visit my blog at the link above. It might give you some spiritual insight. We as believers must be an example to the world that doesn't know about grace and mercy God has in store for us. But it is only when we are humbled and broken that He can really use use for His purpose. God didn't just sprinkle stardust down from the throne and create alot of people and then just sit back to see what would happen. You....were born with a specific purpose. The bible says He knows when you rise up and when you go to bed. He counts the very hairs on your head and His thoughts about you are as the grains of sand on the sea shore. You are His beloved child Dana. And what father would let you drown in sorrow and pain? My sister-in-law, Ginger, was very close to me and she to had drug problems. I loved her like my very own sister. She had a sweet spirit and truly believed in the Lord. But the temptation of drugs kept in it's grip and about 6 years ago she died at 43. I know she was welcomed into the arms of Jesus the day she died and her struggles were over. Above all, pray that Mike give his life to the Lord and that he submit to Him. It's a simple step. God didn't make it hard to be born again. Mike just has to believe Jesus died on the cross for him and accept that he is a sinner and can't control his life away from the influence of the Holy Spirit. Pray that whatever it takes, trusting God, that Mike will be driven to his knees before God and that he be anointed with the blood of Christ. We can't see the future, but God may be preparing him for a powerful ministry and your prayers and mine will intercede for him. And keep yourself clothed in the armor of God so that in the end you can stand ready with the sword (which is the Word of God). Always keep your eyes fixed on Him and not the problems of this world and remember we are just passing through this world. It is not our home. We have a mansion waiting for us. You are my family simply because we have the same Father in heavon. I pray always that His angels protect and guide you as you follow this path He has set before you. All things happen for reasons. There is nothing that is done that He does not have His hand in. Trust Him. He cares for you.

You responded to my prayer and thank you. The person I was speaking about I have been with for 29 years so I know what you are going through. We have to be strong in the Lord and trust Him to bring us through the storm. In this way we grow deep spiritual roots. God knows your pain and he is beside you now as you read this.
