Difficult Day
Today Father, I am having a difficult time keeping my focus on You. I hear songs of praise in my mind when it is quiet, but I can feel a heavy burden on my heart, a sense of unrest, of lack of quiet. Last night when I lay in my bed wide awake worrying about a man I have been praying so hard for, I kept hearing the voice over and over in my head say "Be Still and Know That I Am GOD"...and two hours later I fell asleep. Sigh....I realized today because of last night that am still holding on to my will, or maybe because it is a day to day battle, I took a little of it back last night. Well Lord I want to give it over to you FREELY again today. Lord I ask that you PLEASE take my will from me and that you PLEASE take my love for Mike as a GIFT I give you wrapped in a beautiful package that comes directly from my heart. You Father know what to do with that package and where it belongs. I want to trust in you fully. I ask my new friends here on prayabout.com and my other friends and family and church family to ocntinue to lift Mike up in prayer to overcome his additction to alcohol and MDMA as well as to abhor all things evil. I pray that he becomes disgusted by the things of this world and longs to have a closer walk with God. In that searching may he come to know the true Savior, Jesus. Please Father, take the pain from my heart today, the worry and the stress and replace it with your infinite love. I am Yours Lord."

Oh praise God. See here he says to us that his lovingkindness is new every morning.
May I feel closer to you as I go throughout my day today Father. May I feel stronger in Your love, protection and care.
Update - about 1 year ago:
There was much pain tonight. I could not hold back my anger when I talked to him. I was very sad today, lots of tears. I told him not to contact me again and I pray that he doesn't. This constant constant pain is going to kill me.

Blessed are the forgetful. The enemy wants to keep you in the past, then you can't set your eyes on the future and all God has in store for you. Blessings often come in the form of opportunities. Is this your chance to forgive, and let go? Count your blessings one by one, favored child of God, and you will be surprised at how you feel when you are done. The former man in your life's walk with God is not yours to worry about. Give to God what is His to deal with accordingly. Thank you. Your words are kind, and keep me strong. This man wants back into my life as he always does, and I have given it totally to God. I have told him this as well. May God lead me, but I gave my will to God and my love for this man to God to let Him do as he wishes.
