marriage restoration
On October 23, 2004 I married Tom. I am his third wife, he is my second husband. Within 3 weeks he turned into a man I did not recognize. Unkindness and verbal rage began to pour out of him. He would call me very bad names and just be so mean. Within 4 months he threatened divorce. At that point, I had fallen out of love with him and was ready to call it quits myself. However, I was watching Creflo Dollar one morning and he was talking about “Marriage, Covenant or Contract.” He said something that changed my life. “You may FEEL like you don’t love your spouse, but you make a decision to love them anyway.” So that is what I did, I decided to love him the way God loves him- unconditionally. My love for my husband became a choice at that point, a right decision that I cannot back out of. By our first anniversary, he was moving out. He came back once and moved out again last June. We saw each other about once a week until he started distancing himself even more, around New Years. During this whole time, I cried so much and pleaded for him to get marriage counseling. He refused. By April, he had distanced himself to the point that if I even called him, he became irritated. However, he still told me he loved me, wore his wedding band and claimed he was being faithful while he was figuring out what he wanted to do. So, faithfully, I waited for him and prayed so much for our marriage. On Easter Sunday, we had a huge fight and he told me it was over. About two weeks later I stopped by his house, unannounced, which I never did, and he was watching a movie with a young woman, he is 39. We got into a fight again because I discovered the truth about him being unfaithful. The woman left and he assaulted me and gave me a concussion. I filed charges and he got 90 days probation, anger management classes and had to pay my hospital bills. About a month after he filed for divorce, God led me to read a testimony in the book Real People, Real Needs, Real Victories by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland. The testimony was about a woman who prayed for the restoration of her marriage that was similar to mine. What caught my attention was that their marriage was restored on October 23, the same day my husband and I got married. God has instructed me not to sign the divorce papers and to let Him do a mighty work in both my and my husband’s lives. I am to wait two years, the time it takes for a judge to issue a divorce when one party will not sign the papers. That is a long time to wait for someone that does not love you, nor wants to be with you. It is a daily battle for me not to try and fix it myself. God told me to stop getting in His way and to trust Him. My prayer request is simple, that you stand in agreement with me that God is doing all He can to help restore my marriage and bring it to a place where my husband and I live in peace and harmony together. Now I know that my husband has free will and he may never return. So I need strength and patience to endure the next two years. I am praying for my husband and realize that God has in store for me a Godly husband, whether it is Tom or not. I am believing that it is Tom. I ask that you pray that God sends ministers into his life wherever he turns and that my unconditional love for him remains pure and strong in me. God is also instructing me on the path of ministry He had already started me on before this all came about in the last few months. I am to open a Christian marriage and family-counseling agency in my home. It is hard to concentrate on that, with the hurt and betrayal on my heart. My emotions are strong right now and I feel very depressed at times. I am raising three children from my first marriage, work two jobs and I'm tired. I need strength and encouragement that I am doing the right thing.

God, Rebecca's husband is doing something very wrong to her. You despise abandomnet. Please do not stay aside, please do intervene. Rebecca wants only beautiful things from this man, that only you can provide. Come on dear Lord, do not tolerate this painful situation anyfurther, what good does it do to YOU? Isn't Rebecca's happynes a good enough benefit for you?
Please influence her husband, the way you spoke to Saul - you turned his free will of destruction into a free will of worship. If you helped Saul love you and kept him close to you, there is no reason for you to be unable to restore Rebecca's marriage and keep her husband's close to her.
Balaam's free will was to go curse your people for gain, but you sent an angel to change this:
"I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me:"
Lord, you changed Balaam's free will into what you wanted him to do, because you know how? There shouldn't be a reason for you two people to be happy together, so please help. You turned Balaam, so you know how to turn Rebecca's husband! I pray that you do!
Lord, please forgive us that we dare to be as bold as Abraham, when he did not ask you to be Thy will, but asked you to CHANGE your will and as a result Lot was saved. Please find a way to bring the desired resolution to Rebecca and keep her always mindful of your mercy. Please assume a position that changes Rebecca's husband and brings him home for his own good as well!
Lord, please be Rebecca's friend. And you know that a friend in need is a friend indeed. She is in need. Are you still her friend?
Please converse with her Lord, you know her heart, see if you can somehow accommodate her desire into your "greater plan". Whatever may your decision be, please do not torture Rebecca by keeping her in the dark - tell her what is going on. Support her, hold her hand, anoit her!

Jesus you have to change her husband Jesus your daughter is in yopur work now it is you who have to give her strngth she is finding difficult to concetrate Jesus you give her the inner healing right now take away all the eveil problems from her no evil should try her to put down mentally phsically spiritually as your second coming is ner dont let her in any of the ways amen. bless her spiritual life abudantly.

I pray that you hold onto your faith and follow God's will. He will show you what he wants you to do in his own time. I am not married but dated a guy for 3 years. I parayed very hard to God before I met him and I have always believed he is the one God sent to me. He broke up with me 2 weeks ago and he is already seeing someone else. However, I am not letting my faith waver because if I believed for 3 years that he is my blessing, this might be my test. If it turns out too that he is not the one for me, I will keep praising God for the blessing I had for 3 years. Don't give up, in His time he makes all things beautiful.

Sis, I just got your response, PLEASE BE ENCOURAGED, you just don't know how much our situation is similar. I an't imagine going 2 months without seeing my husband, it is approaching 4weeks and I am already at my brim, with pain and tears and lonliness. The first time he lef tto go to his sons he was gone 2 months and the Lord told him to come back home in a hurry. the Sunday before he came home the lord had given me a breakthrough in my spirit and I began to worship God in the spirit on my nieces front porch The Lord told me to ask what I will so I asked God to send a resolve by the weeks end. On Thursday I got the call and my husband said I am coming home. His son had gotten him an apartment the whole bit. When he obeyed God and came home, the Lord gave us favor to get him out of the lease nothing but divine favor. Now less than 6 months later the enemy strikes another attack and this time he was not given a choice to leave it was beyond my control. I didn't want it but it had to be, as the enemy over took my husband and he hit me one time and called the law on hisself. I have went to the state to ask them to drop charges ( as I did not press them the state did). This is the first and last time I have ever gone through anything like this but yet God... I told them I wanted my husband to get the help he needed in additon to our christian counseling and that I wanted to be part of that as his help mate. thru better or for worse sickenss or health. The Lord told me to love this man through all pain. Even after all of this I love him even the more, I have forgiven him and have a compassion for him. He hs so much ministry in him and the enemy has fought him the spirit realm so much but THE DEVIL IS A LIAR HE IS DEFEATED. WE HAVE THE VICTORY. I know without a shadow of a doubt that God is healing and working on my husband I know he will be home soon. Man may say one thing but God has the final say so. The god I serve is the law giver, so He will grant favor. I know he will. Sis I can not go another month without my home being covered by the God man who was ordained to cover it. The same compassion and forgiveness Jesus had for me and my sins, he gave me for my husband in this incident. I'll give this sacrifice for the victory in my marriage. I have no shame as I am whole in Christ Jesus, where there is no height or depth in sin.
So lease hang in there, if you know that God ordianed your marriage ask God for divine direction and for His mighty power to send a resolve and make you and your husband whole again. I know He will. Just hold on I will give the conclusion of the matter really soon adn you can have victory to hold on to as encouragement to you. Love you my sis hold on.

Psalms 71:21 Thou shalt increase my greatness and comfort me on every side. God is increasing the greatness in my marraige, my husband and me our relationship even now God is working it out. I trust and beleive God. Please do so as well.

I am trying to keep a positive attitude about this, it is hard at times when my mind wanders off thinking about him giving what belongs to me to another woman, but I believe God will convict him of that and that tension will arise between them. thank you for your encouragement.
