Update - 9 months ago:

We are waiting the results of pathology tests on Jason's tumour. Please pray that it is benign, that would be the best possible news for us. Doctors are amazed at his fast recovery. he looks really well and is very alert. He is just a little tired. "Like i've run a marathon". He and Allyson send their heart felt gratitude to you all for keeping them in your thoughts and prayers. Please keep praying for the miracle we need for Jason to make a fulll recovery. Thank you so much to you all again. We are ever so grateful.

Update - 9 months ago:

The doctors saw Jason and Allyson today and said that they are very happy with Jason's progress so far. The MRI showed that they got about 98% of the tumor, which is the best result they could expect. They are planning to start chemo and radiation therapy soon. The doctors say that Jason is making optimum progress that can be expected at this time. They have not yet received the pathology results so we still need to pray and hope that the tumor was beneign, so that Jason will make a full recovery. Please keep praying for that to happen. Jason may be allowed to go home on Monday. Jason, Allyson and our families wish to thank each and every one of you for your continued prayers, and messages of love and support. We feel that the prayers have got us all through this very difficult and emotional time. We are eternally grateful to you all for praying. We are positive that all these lovely prayers made Jasons' operation alot easier and his recovery alot quicker than it was 6 years ago. Please keep praying for our beloved Jason. God Bless and best wishes to you all.

Jason is still in hosptal and recovering well. His left side is still weak but he is very enthusiastically doing physio to get movement back soon. Doctors had told Jason and Allyson prior to surgery that the tumor looked to be a grade 4, they maintained this even after surgery. A grade 4 meant that Jason's chances of recovery were very limited. Pathology results showed the tumor was actually a grade3!!, this means that his chances of a full recovery have increased significantly. Also, an MRI has revealed that doctors got all the tumor, not 98% as we had been told previously!!, this is also fantastic news!. He has all the factors of a success story, doctors got all the tumor, he was active and fully mobile prior to the operation, he is young and otherwise strong and healthy. He fits the criteria for a success story!... He is so strong and positive, he is truly inspirational. Please keep praying that he continues to baffle the doctors and makes a full and speedy recovery. Please pray that he responds well to chemo and radiation therapy and he lives a long, happy, healthy and propserous life with Allyson and family. Jason and Allyson send their heartfelt gratitude to all you wonderful, caring and remarkable people who have prayed and who continue to keep them in their prayers. They are truly humbled and grateful that complete strangers would take the time to pray for them. It has made such a tremendous difference in their lives. it has given them so much more strength and faith that all will be well. Thank you so so much, we feel blessed that you are all praying for us. May God guide and protect you and you loved ones always. Tahnks again xxx

Jason is home!!! The doctor's would have sent him home a week ago if it wasn't for his left side weakness and mobility. Jason recovered so well from surgery but needed to stay in hospital until the doctor's were satisfied he would be safe at home. Jason is relieved to be in his own surroundings again. He and Allyson continue to work on his physiotherapy to re-biuld his left arm and leg. Jason is positive this will return with time and hard work. Thank you all again for kindly taking the time to pray for Jason. We all have faith that he will make a full recovery and live the long, happy, healthy life he deserves. Please continue to pray that Jason responds well to the chemotherapy and radiation therapy chosen to treat him. Thank you all and may God bless each and every one of you.

Jason and I went to see the doctor today about the radiation therapy that Jason is to begin soon. We were told that Jason will undergo 'radical radiation' (for the second time). They said there is now a greater chance that there may be side effects such as the chance of dementia and strokes and this treatment may also set back his rehabilitation. Please continue to include Jason in your prayers and ask that these risks do not present themselves. All your prayers and positive thoughts have helped us immensly so far and we have every faith that with your help, Jason will be back to 100% health in no time. Please know what a difference your prayers have made to us all. May God bless each and every one of you always. Thank you so much, Allyson xx

Update - 8 months ago:

Jason is beginnning to feel some frustration with the lack of movement on his left side. Before his operation, Jason loved to surf, skateboard and wakeboard and was always busy going places and doing things. He now struggles to walk and still has limited movement in his arm/hand. Jason works hard at physio and even does his exercises at home all the time. Please pray that Jason's movement continues to improve, especially before radiation begins. We are so grateful for so many things and thank thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your continued prayers.

Update - 8 months ago:

We received a letter from Jason's surgeon yesterday requesting authority for further pathology tests to be done on the tumour. When we spoke with him about this, he explained that they wanted to see if there was a certain structure to the tumour that may respond better to another form of chemotherapy, than what Jason is on at the moment. We will not know the results for at least another week. Please continue to pray for Jason and ask that all treatments (radiotherapy to being on 17/09) and the chemotherapy chosen to treat him work without any adverse side effects. Please continue to ask the Lord and his loving, healing angels for a miracle that will allow Jason and I to live and long, happy, healthy life together. We all love him so much. Allyson.

Update - 8 months ago:

Jason experienced a tingling numbness on the left side of his face and body again today. This has happened 4 times since he has been home from hospital. We are a little concerned as this feeling is very similar to what he felt before the tumour was found for the second time. We called Gary (Jason's neurosurgeon) and he said he would like to look at the most recent MRIs (from last Wed) to compare them to the post op MRIs. He said that considering the sugery that had been done, he did not think it would be tumour re-growth however he wanted to make sure by comparing the films. Gary said there may be a possibility that there may have been stray cells left behind however the chemo and radiotherapy would 'clean those up'. Gary told us that if these sensations get stronger or increase in frequency to let him know. Please pray that this tingling numbness goes away, never ever to return. Please also pray that nothing bad shows up in the new MRIs and that the treatment chosen for Jason works wonders, with no adverse side effects. At the moment Jason says he is 'not too worried', he choses to think of this sensation as being a result of scar tissue or even his nerves (on his left side) waking up. Please pray that this be true so that Jason can continue to focus on recovering from his last operation. Thank you all again for all your kindness and genuine concern, you have made a huge difference to the way we are coping with all of this. May God bless you all, always.

As you know, Jason has started his treatment this week of radiation and chemo combined. Allyson says that he is feeling so well. The medical staff have been telling him he may feel sick etc but he has alot more movement in his hand, he is feeling energetic, positive, he is sleeping well and generally feels great!. They has come across so many wonderful, helpful, genuinely caring people who have helped them so much from medical staff to work colleagues, family and friends and all of you who have prayed so much for his perfect health and happiness. It is great to see Jason doing so well. He is truly inspirational, he and Allyson are true testaments to the power of prayer and positivity. Jason has begun his second week of treatment. He seems to be feeling as good as we could have hoped, thanks to your prayers, but gets really tired imeediately after the radiation each day. We continue to pray that Jase responds well to the radiation and chemo. Jason has been having trouble sleeping lately too. He has no problems falling asleep but wakes a few hours later and finds it hard to settle back down. For about 5 nights, he onlly got between 3 -5 hours sleep each night so yesterday he was exhausted. We've spoken to the doctors about this but they were very quick to prescribe him more drugs, which Jason is reluctant to take. Please pray that Jason sleeps well so that his body can take that time to repair and recover. Thank you all so much for your kind, loving care - we are so grateful for all of you. Allyson

Thank you for your prayers for Jason and Allyson. Today was a beautiful day and Jase and Ally had a wonderful day out in the warm sun. Jason and Allyson are seeing the oncologist in Sydney next week to see if there is another type of chemo his tumour will respond to better than the treatment he is on now. This is based ont he pathology results they received last week. Please pray that Jason's future scans (he is due for in the weeks ahead) are CLEAR and perfect! Please pray that he gets to best possible treatment for his specific tumour and responds perfectly to it. PLesae include Jason's mum, dad and sister in your prayers, they are a very lovely, close knit family who are finding at times. Thank you for your continued prayer and support. Update - 6 months ago:

Firstly, let me thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all your prayers for Jason. We get so much comfort from your kindness and support. Last week, we went to see Jason's oncologist and she was very surprised to see him looking so well. Last time we went there, Jason was in a wheelchair and still recovering from surgery. She exlained to us that Jason's latest pathology results were good. The tumour had lost some components that were present last time and this means that this type of tumour is very sensitive to chemotherapy (thank you Lord!!!). Next week is Jason's last week of radiotherapy (and chemo - for this cycle) and aside from being a little tired he feels well. Jason's oncologist said that they were a little confused as Jason's pathology results and the way the tumour 'behaved' was a little contradictory. She said that the tumour returned before they would have 'liked' so they expected it to be very aggessive and a grade 4, however when looking at the situation further, the tumour was a 3 and further pathology was very encouraging. We have all put this down to your prayers. There is no other explanation for it so that is why we are so greatful. Thank you so very very much. We have so much faith that we will be granted the miracle we are all praying for.
Jason is happy to be nearing the end of radiation but is a little apprehensive as he knows he probably can't ever have any more of it. I try to reassure him that this is ok because he won't ever ever need it again!!! Please continue to keep Jason in your prayers as it is making a huge difference. May God bless you all and please know how much we appreciate all you wonderful people who take the time to care and pray for us. Allyson xxxx

Update - 6 months ago:

Jason had his first post radiation MRI scan this morning. His oncologist had told them to expect them to look bad especially after radiation, 'that would be expected', she said. At the hospital after they took the scans, they asked Jason when he had finished radiation as the scans looked 'pretty good' for someone who had just finished radiotherapy!!. Please, please pray that this is accurate and when they scans are reported on by his oncologist she finds them to be clear and perfect!. This would be another blessing from God as Jason keeps defying the odds!!.... Thank you Lord for sending all these special people our way. All for your continued prayers, love, support and encouragement through this journey. We are ever so grateful to have come across such wonderful caring people who have helped us tremendously. Jason and Allyson have gone away to a friends wedding this weekend, Please Lord, keep them happy, healthy and safe. They mean the world to us. With love and best wishes to you all, Roxana xx

Today's oncologist appointment went very well. The MRI results came back alot better than the doctors had expected!! Jason's oncologist has just returned from a conference in Texas where new treatments and groundbreaking research is being conducted. Allyson and our family are so positive and grateful for these results, they give us so much inner peace and faith that God and his loving angels are helping Jason. Thank you all so much for your continued prayers and unwavering faith. They mean more than words can say. God bLess you all.

Update - 5 months ago:

Thank you all, once again for all your love and continued support. Jason and I did not sleep very well the night before the appointment. The anticipation causes alot of anxiety but, thank God, things went very very well. When we got there, the oncologist commented on how well Jason looked. "Every time I see you, you look better and better!" she said. The doctor then said that she would look at Jason's scans and mentioned she was waiting on them as she was planning to take them to a seminar to show just how bad scans look after two surgeries, two bouts of radiation and one round of chemo. When the doctor read the report she was very quiet and then commented on how 'glowing' the report was and seemed a little surprised. She then said to Jason that me may want to look at the scans as they were quite good (Jason had previously mentioned to her that he knew the scans were expected to be bad so he'd rather not see them). She showed us that there was bearly any swelling to the brain, which is not what they expected at all. She said that the scans were no good for her seminar but obviously great news for us!!!! The doctor said that there is usually so much swelling that there is 'movement of and pressure on the brain' but not with Jason. This was such a relief to hear and was a major boost for all of us. It goes to show that everything Jason is doing - healthy eating, exercise, positive thinking, visualisation and above all - prayers have helped incredibly so far. As soon as the appointment was over, we immediately thanked the Lord for the work he is doing on Jason and also for every single one of you who have cared enough to pray for us. May you all be blessed with happiness, good health and prosperity always. Thank you - thank you - thank you...and please continue to pray for Jason so that we may be granted the miracle we are all praying for...Love and hugs from Jason and Allyson xx Jason's cold is much better now too....

He was very encouraged with Jason's last MRI results. He also told jason that movement in his arm and leg should return in 12-18 months with physio. Jason is having botox injection in his hand to help with movement (Not really sure how it works but apparently it does!!). Jason is doing very well sticking to his healthy eating regime and looks and feels very well. Thank you so much for your continued prayers, love, support and encouragement. Allyson has just called from the hospital, she said she took Jason in as he had a temperature. Apparently, doctors have taken blood tests and they have all come back good. He may just have a cold but as he is having chemo they have to be careful as his immune system is compromised. We pray Jason has nothing serious, please pray for Jason and Allyson. I am heading to the hospital now to check on them. Thank you so much.

Update - 4 months ago:

Jason is home from hospital. He was discharged last night after 11pm. As Roxy mentioned, his bood test result came back good - his red and white cell counts were all normal, thank God. They took chest x-ray as well and that was fine. The doctors were all very thorough and helpful, they have sent Jason's bloods off for 'cultures' to determine if he had a viral or bacterial infection that may have caused the fever. We will have those results in about a week. One of the docotrs said she heard a heart murmour when she listened to Jason's chest. She said this is not unusual in young people though - especially with his high temperature. There was a little concern that the infection may have been in or around his heart but since his fever went away and Jason looked and felt generally well, they were happy to send him home with anti-biotics. Thank you all so much for keeping Jason in your prayers. I'm sure this will turn out to be nothing more than a sore throat (or something minor) that will be fine in a few days. Please continue to pray that Jason stays strong and healthy and all results from now on are wonderfully clear and we only receive positive, encouraging news from doctors. Thank you all so much for your care and support.....thanks to Roxy too - we love you xx Jason and Allyson

Jason has monthly blood tests to see how the chemo is progressing and how his body is reacting to it. His blood tests results were very good as they always are. His oncologist also had a look at the MRI results he had done last Friday. She was very pleased and said that it looked clear, there only seemed to be some post op scarring, which is quite normal. She said his results were very encouraging and to 'Keep doing what you have been doing'.... Naturally, Jason, Allyson and our families are thrilled at these news. Jason said he will feel alot better once these news are confirmed by his neurologist next Tuesday, as his doctor is on of the top neuro surgeons in Australia..... We give praise to God for keeping our precious Jason happy and healthy. Thank you everyone for travelling this journey with us every step of the way. What wonderful news!! Thank you Lord for your blessings and for all the beautiful people around the world who have helped us through all of this.

Jason and I were very anxious about seeing Dr Teo today but by the end of the appointment we were so relieved, like a huge weight was lifted. Dr Teo read the notes he made after Jason's first appointment and he was surprised at the obvious improvements in Jason. When he read over the initial prognosis, we were very scared and nervous. Dr Teo then looked at the post-op scan and compared it to the latest one and he said that it was 'all clear'. We mentioned that Dr Gary had aimed to get 98% of the tumour out but Dr Teo said he felt he'd actually gotten 100% of it. Dr Teo was very positive and encouraging and said Jason was very brave and should be very proud of himself. He said Jason had made some very difficult decisions (second surgery, second round of radiation) but it now seemed to be paying off. Dr Teo wants another scan in 6 months. Please continue to pray for Jason. He is such an extra ordinary person and deserves to be happy and healthy. Thank you all for your support and care. I really wish I could explain the difference your prayers make to us. Jason is sure that your prayers have helped him come this far, please keep him in your prayers so that he may live a long, happy, healthy life. Jason is still undergoing rehabilitation for his hand and leg. Please pray that Jason's movement and strength improves so he may become more confident and independent. Once again, we thank you all so very much. We will never be able to truly explain how grateful we are. May God bless you all, always. Allyson xxxxxxxxxxxxx

PS Please keep praying for me - love Jason.

Jason and I went to see Jason's oncologist in Sydney on Friday and she too was very happy with Jason's progress. Dr Wheeler confirmed that as Jason's scans are clear, that they will finish his chemotherapy treatment in two months. We are all very happy about this as it shows that Jason is recovering well and progressing in his healing. Having said that, Jason is a little anxious as he thinks that the chemo has helped to keep the tumour away so does not want to risk anything. Dr Wheeler said that there is no reason to keep him on it and that the chemo may in fact do him more harm than good if he stays on it for too long. Two months after he ends the chemo, Jason will have another scan and we ask that God keep these perfectly clear so that he may truly begin his journey to a full recovery. Thank you all once again for the time you have taken to pray for Jason. You have all been a blessing in our lives. Allyson xx

Update - 2 months ago:

Jason had a really restful nights sleep and woke up saying he'd had a couple of 'interesting' dreams. Jason saw us living with mum in a house we rented, not long after we got married. He said mum called us into a room as said she could see something in the corner. Jason (an avid photographer) got his camera and took a photo of the corner of that room and the picture showed a brilliant picture of Mary. He said she was hovering with open arms in the corner of that room, very protective and very peaceful. He said it made him feel safe. He then had another dream, that same night of a house full of Christian artifacts. He said he walked into one room and noticed an open bible that shone brightly. Jason felt these dreams may have come about from all your prayers - I read them to him every night before we go to sleep. This was a welcome change as at one stage, Jason was sleeping very little but dreaming of ghosts and figures that scared him. Thank you all - again - for your loving care. May God bless you. Please pray for Jason, I just spoke to mum who said he isn't feeling well today. I'm not sure what's happening but please pray that he feels better and it isn't anything serious. Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers. God Bless you all. XXO

Update - about 1 month ago:

Mum said that Jason felt 'pins and needles' and 'tingling' in his arm and leg yesterday. This could very well be due to scar tissue but understandably, it's very frightening to Jason. They are making an appt to see Dr Teo (neurosurgeon) next week to see what he says. Please pray for Jason's health and inner peace at this difficult time. Please include ALlyson in your prayers as it is very hard for her too when Jason isn't well. He normally doesn't compain about anything so when he looks worried, she does too!. They bith mean the world to us and we wish they all the best. Thank you very much. Happy Easter to you all. God Bless

Update - about 1 month ago:

Thank you all for your continued prayers. Jason is feeling much better. He has not felt that tingling in his left side since the other week, thank God. Jason said that he was not sure how to explain the sensation but thought he may have made it worse by panicking. We are all hoping and praying that it is only scar tissue or even nerves 'waking' up that caused this to happen. At the moment, we are just concentrating on being happy and trusting that everything is fine. Jason wants me to thank every single one of you for taking the time to care. He truly feels comfort and support when I read your prayers to him. Thank you for doing that for us. Take care and may God bless you all. Allyson xxx

Thank you all for your beautiful prayers and for your lovely birthday wishes. I have been reading Jason your prayers and he is overwhelmed with your continued kindness. Jason is on his last round of chemo. He has 16 more days to go and then he is off his treatment completely. At first he was a little apprehensive about stopping the chemo but now he is looking forward to it as he feels it's a step forward in the right direction. Please pray that Jason continues to do well with no treatment and shows further progress in his health and rehabilitation. Thank you all once again for giving us all so much hope and support, you will never know how much this means to us. May God bless you all abundantly. Allyson xxxxxxx
