I know its hard but you gotta give him tough love, I have a relative addicted, and we love her but we had to give her tough love, so far she has been a month drug free. I pray for your son and for his wife. the baby is beautiful please know people are praying! God bless!

Dear sister, I know where your heart is. I too have a son 26 who after coming out of a divorce just a couple of months ago has returned to living a life that is not of God. I, like you know the pain and fear that you have worring about his life and pray that God will touch the lives of both of our sons and bring them safely back to His will. My heart truly goes out to you.I see you have been blessed with a beautiful grandaughter. My son and his ex wife had a rocky marriage from the start and lost a beautiful baby boy at birth about 3 years ago. I had thought that experience would change my sons heart forever, but satan never tires of trying to destroy. I am praying that God will hear our prayers to bring our sons to His will and rescue them from the evil one who only wants to see them on a path of pain. I know that our God is faithful and He knows our hearts desire for our children. I have the same problem of letting go and letting God, so i pray that God will give us both the strength and peace that we need to place them into His hands and trust His plan for their lives.I know how very difficult that is as i too struggle with this every day. We need to seek Gods face everyday to recieve the peace He wants us to have as mothers. My prayers are with you and your family. Let us remember that Our God is ever present and always faithful to hear the cries of His children. please hear Sheila's prayer for her son, daugther in law and grand child. Extend Your Love to this family and make the parents understand their responsibilities. Let them take the hands that are extended to them and take the offers for help. Let them find strong, caring friends and help groups in order to assist them breaking the vicious circle of addiction. Let them understand that they will have to choose the hard way of saying no instead of giving in to the soft way of drugs. Let them understand that the drugs will only bring misery and destroy their lives. Let them understand that they need to care for their little daugther NOW and let them take the step away from the drug into the responsibility of parenthood. Let them understand that they are not alone and abandoned in their addiction and share their will to get out of it with so many other people. Sheila, my heart and prayers go out to you and your family. My son (35 yrs. old) also is an addict estranged from his wife and children. Thank dear Jesus their mother is healthy and sober and takes good care of them. I know you must be tired of people telling you to pray but I recommend that you pray the chaplet of mercy. You can find out about it on the web, just type in "Chaplet of Mercy". Also, I am just now learning about adding fasting to my prayers which I'm told adds great power to our prayers. Let us do these things together for our sons and may our Lord Jesus hear our cries and heal our children both physically and spiritually. God be with you.

We pray for your son that he finds the help he needs from the community where he is living and that he fully understands what he is doing to his family and that he is ready to seek help. I understnad how it is being associated with an addict, my step father was an addict and he used to abuse me and my mother and has neglected his son,my little brother, in many ways. I know it is hard but please stay strong, just remember you're not the only one going through this, you are not alone, I willkeep you in my prayers.

Sheila, Dear I feel so much for Your situation, I too Have a Son that has been in the same state. He is 53 years old I am seventy now. and I can't believe all these years have gone by, and I still can't trust him .His mind has been damaged by the Drugs, and He is nothing like He was growing up. It Hurts a Mother so much to see Your child like this. I have had to stay away from my Son to have any peace at all. I keep Praying for Him. but everytime I try to help him , it just seems hopeless.
I did not see him for almost Two years, I worried the whole tme.
