Dear Babs, I know that the realization that you are a sinner is the beginning of salvation. Now that you have learned about this, it is your highest time to ask the lord to guide you in fighting this evil. It all starts with you And you have to believe that you can leave it. Always have this in mind, " I can If I Think I Can" Have that faith and all shall be well. I pray that the Lord may give you courage. Let it happen to you in Jesus Name, Amen.

Dear Babs,I pray that you will listen to what I am saying to you. Many people such as yourself have the same addictions, and they have succeeded in helping themselves. You are not lost. You have only strayed. Please know that the first thing you must do is to allow yourself to be an imperfect human being.God knows this already and still loves you.Your compusion to drink in excess numbs the pain of your realities.Forgive yourself .For whatever reason you have ,let go of the past.Today is a new day.You will find supportive folks who can help you at your community AAmeetings, and Gambler's anonymus has chapters as well.Do this for yourself. You indicate that this new man has made sacrifices for you( ,ie:moving ,finding a decent job,)to be with you.He knows you are worth loving. Now you must find it in yourself to love who you are also. For this, change is hard but necessary. He will still love you as you show that you want to help yourself. You have many blessings to look forward to,Babs.Embrace those blessings for they are God's gifts to you.Rehab and local meetings may not sound like much fun but you deserve to give yourself and your man a chance .God has not abandoned you.He has faith in you,and if you let him into your heart he will show you the way.Good luck Babs, and take care.
