I love the Lord with all my heart. I have a daily reminder to die to my flesh, to be renewed in the word and to trust in the lord with all my heart and let my faith lean out to him, because he is the alpha and omega and giver of life. it is a purpose given to his children to help share his love and mercy with others to shape eternity. I want to Share with you about how I found my Joy. Most reading this dont know that I am constantly laughing it is something I just was blessed with I guess....But my Laughter wasnt always out of Joy...it was to hide behind my sorrow. Thankfully, I know a new Joy because of what Jesus has done in me. Before I really knew who Jesus was, and before I really had a relationship with him, I may have had a smile on my face, but on the inside, I was very sad and a very broken woman. I had prayed to the Lord and asked him why I was so sad. And then One day when I was with some friends from my church, I heard a scripture spoken from the Word of God in Nehemiah 8:10 and it was this… Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength." I sat there and just cried, because God had answered my secret cry to him. I always wondered what made me so sad. Here I was a blessed woman, I knew I had accepted Christ, I had a family, a husband that loved me, and a Home, but I knew in that moment that a relationship with Christ is what I was missing, and it is what my heart desired so very much. It was a cry of my heart! In the book of Isaiah, 53:4-5 in the new living translation it says yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows[a] that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. When I started really listening to what Gods word says, and started to praise him, and spend time in Worship with Jesus, My heart became so happy, because Jesus became my Joy. I began to feel free. I began to heal, my heart was no longer broken. I want you to know that Jesus is real! When I began to trust him, I realized he was all I needed to have Joy. I know he desires us to be filled with love. Just by Jesus touching our lives, He will fill us with his goodness, his Glory, his mercy and an abundance of Love that overflows out of us and back into others like a river flowing from our souls. And we sit in his presence, by reading his word and worshiping him. By Reading his word, if we allow the word to gather in our hearts we are changed from Glory to glory, we are made new! Jesus did sweep away my sadness, and darkness! But, I had to allow him to show me how to do that! Jesus wants all his children to live in health, all the days of their lives. It takes me courage and faith every day to lean on Jesus! Jesus will give back everything the devil has stolen from me, and I know he still performs miracles. He wants his children to bring him their pain, sorrows, and grief, and leave it at his feet, and he will in return bring Healing, Joy, Love, Peace, patience, and his Goodness in return! I know that as I have received Jesus, He has changed me and I will never be the same again.
