Hi every one! Thank you for coming to my page and welcome to my life and my wonderful history. So first thing is, I want to say this, where did I come from? I do not even know where I came from. Do you think that I came from sand, from sea, from monkey, from evolution or where? Well, this be either “none of them” or “I am not of them”! So, why am I here on this earth with the fall of the drama? And why I am a sinner in this earth too? So do you want to know where I come from, why I am on the earth and why I am a sinner? Here is the truth came from my mouth. I came from image of God or God creator. So God created me from his own image. And how does God create me from his own image? I will not have these answers until I die and go to the wonderful place call “Heavens” with no more drama. So welcome to my world. I'm having a hard time understanding how humans are both born in sin and created in God's image. Are we physically created in God's image or are our spirits patterned after His? If created physically after His image then what about those born with physical defects? If spiritually then what about those who happen to have very deranged minds, who are just ruthless and evil? Whenever someone is being difficult, I'm able to brush it off by saying, "Well, God created them, too" but there are some whom it would be an insult to Him to say such a thing. I understand that we're all born in sin as a result of Adam and Eve, but how do theologians explain when God's impression on man begins and ends in the womb or even before conception? It is interesting that I frequently hear that man was created in God's image, but we never really stop and think about what that means. I'd like to explore that here. I think that you have put yourself in a false dilemma by only allowing two limited interpretations of man being created in the image of God. Actually, this is much more complex but, because as human beings we are so close to the answer, we tend to overlook some of the other aspects of our unique creation. I know I am created in God's image because the Bible tells us so in Genesis 1:27 where we read, "And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." Now, this event happened before the fall of man, but we know that we are still in some sense created in the image of God because 1 Corinthians 11:7 reaffirms this fact. Also Genesis 9:6 imposes the death penalty because of the fact that man is made in the image of God. This would argue that the idea of being created in God's image still applies to us today. The words "image" and "likeness" used in Genesis 1:26-27 express the idea of the whole man being created in this way. In some sense, both a man's material and immaterial aspects are included in this assessment. Now, we know that strictly speaking man's physical body is not patterned after the physical appearance of God. We are taught in John 4 that God is Spirit and does not reside in a physical body. However, this does not preclude the physical body being some part of the image of God. We exist currently as body and soul together. It is meaningless to talk of us a just a soul or just a body when we are alive on earth. Both are intricately intertwined to make you the person you are. The body reflects God's image by first of all being one in substance. God as a trinity is one being, acting with as much unity as our soul acts with our body. Our bodies are living, and Paul emphasizes that we serve as a living God, not one of gold or silver or stone (Act17:29). In fact he says that those idols cannot be God because it would take a living being to create us as living beings. This is a highly rational argument, and difficult to find objectionable. Paul's ability to appeal to reason demonstrates another way that man is made in the image of God. God by His nature is a rational being. He operates by the laws of logic. He is not constrained by them because they are some kind of "higher force", but they are the natural outflow of His will; they are His nature. He is as much a rational being as He is a loving being. Because only man has the true capacity for rational thinking, he is in this way also made in God's image. Man is intelligent; aware of his surroundings and capable of changing them. He does not act on instinct, but should be able to control his natural drives for higher purposes. God has given man free will, which likewise reflects God's image. Every man has the ability to choose for himself his actions. He is morally aware. Man understands that certain things are good and certain things are evil. Before the fall, Adam and Eve had no experiential knowledge of good and evil, but they most certainly understood that they should obey God's commands. If this were not so, God warning them about punishment if they disobeyed Him would have no meaning to them, and the fall could be viewed as entrapment on God's part. Adam most certainly did understand that disobeying the will of God was wrong, and there could be dire consequences to his actions. Although we now must struggle against our evil nature to obey God, we still have moral understanding and comprehension of good and evil. Lastly, one of the ways the image of God manifests itself in man is that only man can be aware of God and is capable of fellowshipping with Him. This part of man was exercised freely in the Garden before the fall. All men still are able to comprehend God's existence, but none are able to fellowship with Him unless they have been born again in Christ. Obviously, the universality of religion shows that awareness of God and some need for a relationship with Him is common to man. Your question has the implication that those people who have mental or physical deficiencies are somehow not created in the image of God. I find that this is not true. Because some of the aspects we associate with God's image may not be operating properly, it doesn't mean the person is devoid of God's image. Rather, it shows that the image is somehow skewed or distorted. I liken this to an analogy of a car being made in a certain likeness (such as the body style of a corvette). When it is wrecked, the damage does not nullify the idea of being formed in that likeness, but shows the image as defective and in need of repair. Every person who is aware, no matter how slight his mental faculties, lives by some ethic, some moral code, and some decision-making processes. This re-emphasizes importance of our Redeemer's work in the lives of men, for only He can create a heart in man that is not distorted and seeks His will. Thank you again for an intriguing question. I hope that you will study these things further and ponder them with prayer. May God bless you as you seek to uphold Him in the public square? My name is Alexander and some times my friends and even my family call me “Alex or even AlexanderTheGreat”. I was born in Isira, Russia on January 13, 1987. I will be 22 year old and yes I know that I get old and older man (HAHA EVERY ONE)! So, I grew up in Russia for 9 and half years and then I moved to the USA in 1996 when I was 6 and half years old. So I just wonder who brought me to USA. Well, Fresh Start Surgery Gift brought me to the USA because I was born with no ears, jaws, or hearing and other problems. Caused by infection at birth of infection. So far I have had 45 surgeries in ten years. Time moves on, I move to five different foster homes for two years until 1998. I did not like it at all. By 1998 in June, I move to a wonderful family that I do not know handed or called the Brewer Family. I met them in the Coca in south CA. and they saw me with bandages on my head and they did not know what I was looked like until I took off the bandages. They were so happy when they saw me. I was so different, I looked like a person. I was adopted in 2002 by the wonderful Brewer Family in San Diego, CA and I love them so much and I always think about them all time. I became a Christian on 2003 in Poway, Ca. I became a citizen on April of 2004. I graduated from H.S in 2006 in San Diego, CA My goal now is to finish College in PCC which stands for Pensacola Christian College in Fl. I would like to become a Medicinal of Doctor (M.D) doctor and Philosophy of Doctor (PhD). If this will not work, I will be happy with what ever God give me and I will be still be happy. I am a sweet nice person, caring, loving, funny, cool, friendly person. I like sports, and I’m cute and honest. I am smart, good hearted, ambitious, confident, kindness, potential and independence. And I am clean, outgoing, responsible, open minded, fun, and energetic. It’s all open game. I speak English, American Sign Language and some Espanola. My hobbies are ice skating, beach, hanging out with friends, snowboarding, paint balling, hiking, air soft ball, rock climbing, and other team sports. I can do any thing on this earth. I am here on the earth to love the Lord and also to love the people who are on the earth even if thing they do not know about Jesus Christ and that why I am here to show the love and care. So that why my nickname is Love Never Fails like in the Bible said in “1 Corinthians 13:1-13” The Excellence of Love 1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. 4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part; 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love. And that is me because my family teaches me how to love the people in this earth. And also that I want to gave you the reason why I needed to love the Lord. God's Love - John 15:13 God's love towards us, His estranged creation, is graphically depicted in the sacrifice He made on our behalf. "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13 NIV). Jesus Christ, is God's unique and eternal Son.1 He is the Alpha and Omega, 2 the Great I AM, 3 the "Mighty God"4 by whom all things were created5 and in whom all things consist.6 Jesus, who is the head of all things, 7 humbled Himself in such a way that the human mind couldn't even bare the thought of it. He came into this sin-cursed world and actively partook in our sufferings. Even as we are flesh and blood, He shared in the same.8 He became a man and dwelt among us.9 He shared in the sufferings we brought upon ourselves through our rejection of His holy precepts.10 And as if that were not enough to convince us of His love and concern for us, Jesus, the immortal God and the Giver of Life, gave up His own life upon the cross in the greatest act of love the world has ever known! In doing so He took our sins away, effectively nailing them to the cross with Himself. Thus, He who knew no sin became sin for us11 and He who gave life to all, tasted death for those condemned to it.12 God's Love - For God so Loved the World this is God's love! "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him (John 3:16-17). Jesus Christ loved the world so much that He gave everything for it, from His rights and privileges as the unique eternal Son of God, to His very life! If you want to see the love of God, look to the cross. "This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins" (1 John 4:9-10). "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). God's Love - It's For You! God's love has been made known to us and now He stands at the door and knocks.13 it’s up to every individual to either pursue a personal relationship with God or else reject Him outright. The only barrier between us and God's love is our own freewill and Jesus Christ is the door.14 "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'" (John 14:6). Salvation is a free gift bought and paid for by the blood of Christ. There is no other way. "…Do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" (Galatians 2:21). You can't earn God's forgiveness through good works. How will doing the good works that you should have done all your life make up for the countless times you've failed? God's no fool. You can "use an abundance of soap, the stain of your guilt is still before me…" (Jeremiah 2:22). A man once fell on his knees before Christ and begged, "If you are willing, you can make me clean." Christ, "filled with compassion" replied, "I am willing; be clean" (Mark 1:40-41). We too can fall on our knees and acknowledge God's only provision for our sins. We too can hear, "I am willing; be clean." Christ willingly took God's righteous indignation upon Himself so that you don't have to; whoever accepts His death upon the cross as payment for their sins will be reconciled to the God whom they've offended. "All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ…God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them…God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God" (2 Corinthians 5:18-19, 21). Will you accept God's love today? If any girl or guys would like to get know more about me then just ask me. So here is my IM. Here is my IM if you all want to talk to me...
